  1. Play Garcia at right mid tomorrow. Had a great game there last season away to Charlton.
  2. Dudek, Traore, Cisse, Hamann, Warnock, Mellor, Whitbread I can't believe people are putting Crouch in their list.
  3. Fowler, Owen, Crouch, Morientes.
  4. I think Rafa will address this issue in the summer. Atm we're alright I think. A new centreback was more vital now in Jan than lb and Rafa was right in spending the money on Agger. Riise is for me the best option now. Think Traore will be off in the summer. Not so sure about Warnock, a decent cover but if we're getting a new lb in the summer, how many lb's do we need in total?
  5. IAN HOLLOWAY'S AMAZING END OF SEASON PRESS CONFERENCE On celebrating: I rung Kenny Jackett straight away to congratulate him on getting Swansea promoted and he said "I'm waiting to get my goalie out of jail". You can't even celebrate these days, can you? On football shorts: I tell you another crazy, crazy, crazy rule. We want women to come to football don't we? I think they're bloody pretty - a damn sight prettier than any bloke I've seen. You talk to women about footballers and what do they like - they like legs and our shorts are getting longer. We should go back to the days when half your a*** was hanging out. I can't believe those shorts are that long! Why can't you let players lift up their shirts? Who is it disrespecting? What's wrong with letting a load of young ladies see a good-looking lad take his shirt off? They'd have to watch other teams, though - because my team is as ugly as hell. On the reporter who claimed QPR defender Danny s***tu would be sold: Whoever that was, I'd like to pull his pants down and slap him on the a*** like I used to do to my kids. Apparently I'm not even allowed to do that any more otherwise I'll have the health and safety on to me giving it the old 'hello'.
  6. We haven't got the results we wanted in the league lately. But against Man United, Birmingham and Chelsea last night, we've played well and created chances but we just haven't been good enough in front of goal. I would have been a lot more worried if we'd struggled playing well and creating things but we've just got to improve the precision and the quality of the finishing and be more clinical in front of goal, and also the final third of our play. Of course it's easier said than done but I believe we got players who's good enough to make sure we do the job in front of goal. A player like Robbie will help a lot here I think, he may not be the player he was but you never lose that eye for goal that Robbie got. We may well talk about new options for the future as well but we can't do anything with that now. Crouch and Morientes for instance, brings something to the team through their overall play, but they aren't showing themselves as proper goal threats atm. I'm not saying that I expect Crouch to score loads of goals for instance, I don't think he will and I'm not expecting that. I'm happy if he scores a decent amount of goals, create goals for others and generally do a the job he's supposed to do for the team. His ability to bring others into play and create chances for them is one of his main assets IMO. To be fair to Crouch I think he's done quite well so far this season. Struggled getting goals in the beginning but his overall play was decent and he brought something to the team in other areas than goalscoring that could defend the selection of him for the starting eleven. After a while he started scoring goals which was great to see. At the moment the lad does struggle a bit but I'm confident he'll strike back soon. Confident we'll get the three points on Wednesday. We're not doing bad at the moment. Just haven't got the results.
  7. I think Gonzales, when he comes, can help us in this area or am I way off here?
  8. I really like the lad. His enthusiasm and passion for the red shirt is great to watch. Not a bad player as well. But honestly I don't think he's good enough to play left back at a regular basis. A decent cover, nothing more. I don't feel really safe when he's playing to be fair. Decent left peg, good tackler and his commitment and attitude is spot on, but feel he lacks a lot tactically. Riise is the best option for left back IMO. Though he had a part to play in Chelsea's second goal last night and bit sloppy at one occasion where Cole nearly scored in the first half, I thought he didn't do too badly last night.

  10. Still a s**** pitch though.

    Morientes

The lad just needs more goals. His overall play has been good this season and his workrate is always spot on. He really wants to make it here. But as long as he contributes to the team I got no problem seeing him in our side. Anders mentioned above our superb winning streak and I thought Morientes contributed a lot in that and that is something I think he deserves credit for. I'm deffo not giving up on Nando, think he has a part to play. He'll be some player to have in the knockout stages in the CL for instance I think.
  12. Thought the lad came through his debut pretty well. Looked a bit nervous in the beginning, one or two dodgy clearences. But grew better and better during the game and can be pleased with his performance tonight.

    Morientes

Morientes did really well in the second half after a poor first half. Set up Gerrard and was the architect behind some good moves. Worked well as always. Just needed a goal but deffo one of the better players for us tonight I thought. Thought he looked good with Fowler.
  14. Saw Big Ears in the crowd again. well in tage lad

    Kromkamp

Thought Kromkamp was decent tonight. Good on the ball and quick feets.
  16. The Lib'pool end were superb. Great support. Had a great time. How s*** were the mancs though...
  17. Good bunch of lads that. Went with them for the Man City away game. I'm a mate of Tage, who's a captain in the Irregulars. Was a great evening in the Oakie after the game I remember.

  20. Though I don't see him as a regular at left mid, I think he's always a decent option in that position when the first choice(Kewell) needs a rest or injured.

  22. Makes me angry reading about people not showing respect and who don't behave in the right manner when visiting the city. Witnessed a lot of incidents of the years, sad to say that it includes quite a few of my countrymen. Ruins the generel view of Norwegians for instance, and that's sad cos there's decent lads among us, who comes over on a regular basis and who are good reds. Personally I've never experienced one bad moment visting the city, and the people of Lib'pool impress me every time with their friendliness. Really feel welcomed. Respect the city and the people who lives there.

  24. Aye remember that. Riise scored in a one nil win. Diouf's league debut. We hardly won in that kit...
