I thought he always had good games against Chelsea, bar the league game at Anfield this season. For instance that game where Cheyrou scored, I thought he was superb. The tackles and blocks he put in was top class. Got no problem with him leaving us. I like Djimi but I don't think he's good enough to be fair. With Aurelio coming in and with Riise already there he won't get many chances at LB. Also got Warnock there. Same with the centre-back position, we got better options there.

Good post Mr Hodgson. Well made points. Personally I'm quite positive regarding Defoe. Good, explosive striker who can thrive under Rafa's guidance. Already a decent players as pointed out but I think he's got loads of more to offer, something that I think he'll have a every chance of showing under a manager like Rafa Benitez and at a club like Liverpool.

Think he was some few years ago. He moved up to Melwood early considering his age and was a decent prospect. (Foy)

Stig was actually a ski jumper in his younger days. He's apparently the only professional footballer who's jumped over 100m on skiis. His dad was a decent ski jumper.

I haven't seen much of him but it sounds like a good deal. An improvement on Warnock and Traore and can put some pressure on Riise, who's done well at LB this season. A bit like what happened at RB, where Kromkamp so far has shown himself as a better back-up for Finnan than Josemi.
