I thought he was quite good today. Our two best chances were things he basically made for himself and he should have had a penalty too. Unlke most I didn;t think he was that bad at Woodison either - again I thought he was probably our most dangerous player then. Sometimes I think people expect him to 10/10 every week.

I suspect that (unfortunately IMHO) Kuyt may start on the bench. I thought he looked very tired in the last half hour of the game on Tuesday night (not surprising given he'll behind some of the others on match fitness and he never stopped in the first half). The fact Rafa left him out there makes me think it unlikely he'll start on Sunday.

Istanbul by a mile. Biggest game the club had played in twenty years. Losing to a team who had torn us to shreds. Being honest at helf time I said to my brother the best I was hoping for was that we would win the second half 1-0 or 2-1 and salvage a bit of pride. I feared we might end up on the end of a record loss at half time. But today was amazing too.
