  1. Me neither.
  2. Try the Cambridge on Goodge St. Usually a few Liverpool fans in there.

Better news on the offal today on this. Momo - talking about playing again this season - suspect that not realistic.
  4. My tuppence: Real want Rafa (who wouldn't). Perez's replacement is saying the kind of things about galcticos and the team that make this seem more of a possibility. Rafa is being careful what he says as he wants to manage them one day. The bottom line at Real Madrid is - whoever is in charge - the manager is never more than about 6 games away from being fired. I'd be surprised if he fancies that risk yet (touch wood, fingers crossed).
  5. It's not just corners. It's virtuallyevery time the ball goes in the box. I'm hoping Robbie will do some fo this (as he did once or twice against Arsenal).

I thought Rick's performance on Saturday was the highlight of the afternoon. Absolutely vintage Parry shirt-tie combo. Good work.
  7. Absolutely agree. There was a certain comic nature to Mad Erik which, together with real ineptitude, you rarely see these days.
  8. I'm not talking about being a bit rubbish here. For me some players are beyond that - they are inept. And some even have a comic quality to their ineptitude. Josemi was one such for me. Piechnik might have been to. Have we had any others as talented at comic ineptitude?
  9. Not sure why we needa left back. When JAR has started there witht he other three we've not conceded many at all. He's fine there.
  10. Not been but from what I've heard that will be interesting to say the least. I think the 300 or so Madrid fans are normally kept in the stadium and then bused out once the crowd has gone.

My own experience of various doctors and consultants - albeit with a very different injury (back) - was that being seen by the best person is very very important. Took me over a year to see the top surgeon. When I did his diagnosis and prognosis were quite different (and more positive) than I'd heard before. He got me on the road to recovery. I'm fingers crossed that that is what's happening with Momo.

Keep hoping for good news. First bit so far.

Not souding good. Fingers crossed - glad he's down in London and seeing the best people available. Fingers crossed. Can we get a message to him? Good clear statement from Parry.

Please can we try and stay calm and positive. Once Momo has seen a couple of specialists and the bruising has gone down it sounds like we'll have a better idea on this. Until then the jounralist pronouncements and their translations of what was presumably a private and confidential diagnosis with Momo shoudl be treated with sceptically in my opinion.
  15. Unbelievably good. The former is, IMO, the best in the world by an absolute mile. I rate Messi as in the top five too.
  16. Thought he looked a good player. Doubt he'll be there next year.
  17. When Allardyce has won the European Cup twice with with Bolton he can label himself the modern day Clough.
  18. True - another good on. However watched us lose at chelsea there so will head to extra time i think
  19. Around Lambeth - no idea. Extra time by barbican tube is pretty reliably red. For the semi-final against chelsea last year there were several hundred liverpool fans there. And two chelsea fans.
  20. Yes...forgot Arsenal for some reason. I'd also take Van Persie over any of them. Pongolle porbably for me, Mellor not for me.
  21. Let me start with a disclaimer or two. 1. I rate Rafa as our best manager since Paisley. 2. I think at times that all of Crouch, Morientes and Cisse have perfomed reasonably well for us and have merits. 3. I've not included Fowler becuase clearly it;s unfair to judge him yet. However off the top of my head here's a list of strikers in the Premiership I'd swap for any of them (disregarding their ages). Drogba Crespo Nistelroy Rooney Mido Keane Defoe Darren Bent Yakubu Andy Cole Shearer Owen Ashton Baros Heskey Playign with forwards who are erratic finishers AND never make their own chances does make life a LOT harder. Summer cannot come soon enough in that respect.
  22. I quite rate Johnson. It happens that Simon Jordan is a member of the gym I go to. Chatted to him a few times - nice bloke. Think Johnson will only go if he really really pushes it and says he won't stay etc.

I thought he was very good for most of the first half. Agreed he's not the best passer ever and needs to be more disciplined. However I saw a stat a few weeks ago saying he had made 105 tackles for us this season. Next best was Gerrard - with 42. That's incredible given he's not played as many games as Gerrard. I rate him very highly. If Arsenal had him they wouldn't keep being bullied away.
  24. Pepe could do with gettting along to the cinema a bit if he thinks Robben deserved an Oscar.
  25. I am in the optimistic camp. Cannot believe the likes of Bascombe's report. Let's not forget they haven't lost a league game at home for a very long time, have a loathsome but very good manager and the most expensively constructeam team in history. In my opinion all that really separate the teams (not the squads) are the forwards (clearly we need more bite up front) and maybe a right winger. Given the restraints Rafa is operating under I definitely see a glass 3/4 full.
