What started off as a great week on Tuesday has turned thoroughly depressing with the trouble of the last two nights. I can't remember the last time I watched a game and was more concerned with what was going on in the stand than on the pitch. It really did remind me of the bad, old days.

Tottenham could well be thrown out for this as no Sevilla fans were involved. It makes it a nice, easy decision for UEFA a la Feyenoord.

But it is invariably the innocent who get the beating as the few troublemakers make themselves scarce. What's more we'll all be tarred with the same brush and on the continent it will be "English fans" involved in trouble. We'll all pay the price for this.

Maybe he intends Momo to break up play a bit further forward. He could be equally as effective closing down the holding player in front of the opposition's back four, e.g. Makele or Carrick. p.s. There are Wombles moderating who clear up every bit of post and put it in a nice pile
