I couldn't see any newspaper beng allowed to sponsor a major football competition as it would alienate the other papers and affect the coverage. The competition would end up with much less exposure than before.

I can't see Cahill working up front. He's most effective coming from midfield when he hasn't been picked up. He won't offer so much when he's marked. Beattie and Anichebe would surely work better.
