i don't think he expects to stay on. It may be me reading into it what i want to believe, be when swanson inerviewed him after the sale went through he said something along the lines of the club needing someone with his area of expertise in the build up to the sale. To me that suggests he thinks he's served his purpose.

In my opinion (which I know, isn't worth much) the reason Ryan is being played out left so much, is purely to make the lad more comfortable with his left peg. It's obvious the lad prefers his right foot and so often he tries to get back onto it. If he can be groomed to become able to go either way comfortably, then defenders just won't be able to deal with him.
