For me that's the frustration this season. I can count on one hand the amount of performances that I've felt we deserved nothing from. Many performances where we have dominated teams, only for our issues in the final third to derail us. 3rd best defence In the league, play some great football, create plenty of chances, miss them, hit the woodwork and then collapse at the end. Just a few of those many many chances go in and we could easily have 20 points more than we do. Frustrating! Very odd season for me. Not convinced that Kenny is the problem, its not like we have had performances that are as bad as we encountered under hodge. Have we improved? What i have seen on the pitch tells me we have vastly improved from last season, but being almost 40 points adrift of the mancs tells a different story.

Let me preface this - I love rafa and want him back as manager......he should never have been let go and certainly not for that old chancer. The only reason to replace a manager is for someone better. Right now though we have Kenny leading us and I've seen him build a team or two in the past. I think he deserves a chance to do this. He's been the only bright spark for me since rafa was forced out. I love seeing him celebrate a goal just like I did when I was a kid. It's not gone great this season, but you know what he's been without his captain for a large part of the season, without his best player for a quarter of it, been without Lucas for half of it, and is now about to go into a semi final with his third choice keeper! We've been involved in 3 competitions this season, won one, in the semis of another and have fallen short in the league. It's not great, but it's a foundation for the manager to build on, let him do it. Rafa I believe will have and will deserve his second chance in the future, to discuss it whilst Kenny is in the job I find a tad disrespectful to both men. Maybe I'm old fashioned.. .

One won number 5 - the other left when our King returned! No comparison at all for me. One of them will always have a place in my heart, not just as the manager of Liverpool, but also as a genuine good man. I can't understand why any Liverpool fan can have anything but warmth regarding rafa. The other ranks aside Owen as some judas that had his best days playing for us.

No because we wouldn't have Suarez, and we quite possibly wouldn't have been playing them any time soon as we had unrealistic expectations about our club (according to Roy!) and relegation was a real possibility under him.

They did stop us being in Rangers territory, without their actions we'd be in the championship with hodge in charge after the 10 point deduction. Then they did eventually sack hodgson and appoint Kenny. A stark contrast from sacking rafa and appointing hodgson. They've also backed the manager to spend money rather than raping and pillaging the team. The jury is still out for me, but they havent done terribly so far.

I would think this would apply equally to Luis.

I have no problem with the penalty given. I do believe united or Chelsea would probably have got at least one of the 3 penalty calls we had (2 handballs & the assault on Skrtel)

Everything points to us signing a new defender. Every player he's signed bar Doni has been purchased to improve on what we have(he is better than our other backup keeper though!). I don't see that changing with the central defender. If we can see Carra is declining, you can be sure Kenny can, and he will make the difficult call. I have no doubt.

Good first half, no answer after Sunderland scored. Not really that suprising with so many new faces still bedding in. We could have been 3 up at half time and that's what really cost us.

Bought the kindle edition as it was going to take forever to get over here in the states. Can't say I enjoyed the read, due to the topic, but it was certainly interesting. All the anger came flooding back to me really quickly. Hicks is clearly a completely odious character and it comes through loud and clear. Gillett on the other hand was a charmer who was completely off his rocker. I think he may have got in over his head and couldn't get out after getting in bed with Hicks. The interview he had with the fan was typical of his slimy ways. The glaring error though is obviously from Moores and Parry on taking Gilletts word regarding Hicks and selling without the required research.. Interestingly the book also states that the other shareholders were in agreement on the sale, so the likes of Morgan should also shut up when criticising Moores assuming it is true, as they were complicit as well. The big positive in the book though is Rafa. Reinforces my view that the man is a legend for fighting those b******s and I'd welcome him back in a heartbeat when Kenny decides he is done. Not before mind.

Rob Jones was great, pity injuries robbed us of him. I thought he looked a proper player. Nicky Tanner, the name still makes me shudder.

sigh....I have one that I've carried with me for a long time..... Growing up in high school, friends with a manc....They win their first title since 67 and he's giving it the big champions bit.........I laugh at him and say "It won't take us 20 years to win our next one!"......He foams at the mouth.............
