  1. It is more than likely to be "La Seleccion" or something similar, which usually denotes their team of choice in the region.
  2. In short yes. However, the longer version requires a brief explanation. I feel that it is imperative to replace one top player with a player who is on the cusp of greatness, much like Suarez and Nando were before they were procured.
  3. Unfortunately not, dear sir. I must confess that I am merely a pauper when compared to such a fine individual. Toot toot.
  4. A fine question. One must consider numerous possibilities, but ultimately, it is a curious dilemma that we must ponder upon to deliver an upstanding verdict and enable forward progression of the debate. in the first instance, one must be sure to question the validity of Suarez's intentions. Is he willing to stay? Is he of the mindset to stay and be productive? I am firmly of the opinion that in the long nighted months of summer, Mr Suarez will solely be interested in Liverpool Football Club. If we disregard this basic fact with nonchalant ease, it is possible that he will move, with Barcelona post-Pep his most likely destination. In that scenario, I would prefer a player of similar stature to both Torres, and indeed Suarez, being brought quickly into the club to fill the vacant void and allow the seasons to progress in an interesting fashion.
  5. Piara Power on SSN now.
  6. It is as true as Kenny being manager. http://www.cumberlandfa.com/NR/rdonlyres/F1E8DE93-4517-41C7-9560-9EAF1D635542/0/TheFARespectHandshake.pdf
  7. Interesting point on SSN just past about written handshake protocol (silly i know, but it exists) - Apparently the protocol is that the home team approach the away team for the handshakes, ie the Liverpool team should have been stationary and Evra should have led his team down the Liverpool line. Saturday was the first time this season that an away team has "led" the handshake at Old Trafford this season. The obviously implication of this is that if Evra was moving along the Liverpool line, the onus would have been on him to produce his hand for Suarez. Interesting, to say the least.
  8. If one removes the early sentiment, this is a good post.
  9. The underlying tone has fulfilled point (i) over all, especially Dalglishs remark of "he should never have been banned", and look how people reacted to that. Doing the above would have merely exacerbated the situation.
  10. But ultimately correct. If I may be blunt for a short moment, I am not a fan of side sniping nor in fighting so I would prefer, nay, encourage, less discussion about my good self and more discussion about the matter at hand, the apologies that have been delivered. I myself am pleased that we have presented ourselves with an opening to move on from this so called "racism row".
  11. You can - by seeing if they are correct or not. They invariably are the former.
  12. It is neither. I am a handsome chap with a developed interest in many areas of football. I simply share my opinion and it the duty of others to either accept or reject my hypotheses.
  13. It is not spam, it is a spot on commentary of what has happened over the last day. I am bemused, to say the least, that persons are upset with how this has panned given that a) this was likely to happen, and b) Suarez reneged on his promises to the club about the handshake.
  14. Certain parties in this thread are behaving in a wholesomely embarrassing fashion. As I mused (correctly) earlier, anything that would come out of this incident was going to be damage limitation, and to hate upon the club, Ayre, and anyone else who dares not follow what these parties believe to be the appropriate head-in-sand manouevre is nothing short of ludicrous. The unfortunate reality is that this was the likely end to this situation, especially when the circumstances are considered closely. Suarez has acted as nothing short of a fool if he previously told the club he would shake hands and reneged on that agreement. As I mused at the time, such happenings were likely to explain Kennys attitude to questions on the subject yesterday. You cannot state one thing to the club, your manager, and the people upstairs and then proceed to do another. That is just stupid and pig-headed. . The numerous statements and apologies arising would suggest to me that this has come from the top and Henry has decided enough is enough. I seriously doubt Ayre, or indeed Kenny, have just decided to issue apologies of their own remit. I must confess, I do not blame Henry for his actions in this situation. Its time for all to move on and this was the only way in which it was going to happen. Contrary to popular belief, walking into the next press conference with a list of facts about Ferguson was not going to alleviate the pressure on the club, and would only serve as more ammunition for the club to be accused of bitterness and lashing out to deflect attention. As for all those who claim they are disgusted at the club, I find that severely amusing, as I have noted that several of those are persons who delight in calling other users "Manc" when they dare to question a player.
  15. This sounds like paranoia more than anything else. We need to stay calm and think rationally.
