  1. That and the fact they will have replaced the loathsome duo. The problem they currently have is if there is no sale coming soon they have to do something to protect the value of the club. We keep performances like we've had and relegation will be a real possibility. Even the idiots that own and run us can't possibly believe that is best for their investment? I'm hoping this (if nothing else) will force the issue in the boardroom both on and off the pitch.
  2. That goes two ways mate. How about they are both going to be legendary at the club, and they both have their flaws. Either way we've been blessed with both of them.
  3. Despite not looking interested he's been involved in most of our league goals this season. I would say it's a blow this season as much as any other season to be honest with you.
  4. I hope he is back when the upstairs is all sorted out at the club.
  5. Yeah we need a new one called "How long will it take Purslow to admit his mistake and get rid"
  6. The damage will be too great by Christmas. He needs to go and he needs to go now.
  7. We shouldn't be so harsh, we are playing a very formidable side. I think our expectations are too much....If you aren't happy being 2-0 down at home to Blackpool you never will be. Or something like that......
  8. Unless of course we are sold, he is swiftly axed and a competent manager is appointed. Then the focus won't be on those that appointed him. I think this was ultimately the ploy in appointing him in the first place, I just don't think they (nor me if I am honest) thought it would be this bad this soon.
  9. Probably his team he put out against Northampton....you know the one made up of the not so good players......
  10. Cynically I think that is possibly why he was actually even appointed. When a new owner arrives (maybe some day?) he will be far easier to remove from office than the previous manager ever would have been.
  11. RH: "I think that I just turtled, nope it's just my tactics........"
  12. He thinks he's still managing Fulham I think. Expectations there are much more in line with his comments about expectations.
  13. I think the point being made is you can respectfully question the manager without having to resort to petty name calling. It's a valid point. I don't think he is good enough, I don't think he will ever be good enough, I don't want him as manager of Liverpool, and I question the motives of those that appointed him. The sooner we get hicks and gillette out, the sooner the managerial sideshow can end as well.
  14. Spot on.
  15. I hear you, that's what struck me is that I felt somewhat numb in losing to them, not the outright anger that I usually feel. I pretty much got what I expected from today's game, a non-performance but for 10-15 minutes, a manager that looks out of his depth and is probably wishing he'd stayed at Fulham, and then the predictable comments before and after the game from the manager. All the while we are pissed at the on the field stuff, Hicks is plotting how to keep hold of us. Lets focus on that first and foremost.
  16. [quote name='Cobs' date='02 September 2010 - 02:40 PM' timestamp='1283460013' post='2707313' the owners are c**** but the vitriol they deserve is spilling over into Hodgbashing at every corner Or we could be thinking the manager isn't the right person for the job regardless of the 2 c**** that own us. Isn't that what we were told to do last season? Separate the football side from the business side of things? I didn't think he was good enough when he was linked, I didn't think he was good enough when he was appointed, and I still hold that opinion. Hopefully he proves me wrong, but I am far from confident. Where I think we have common ground is that his appointment is a symptom of the ownership.
  17. I'm in the US, and mine hasn't arrived yet
  18. Yet more resetting of expectations by the current owners. Cut spending, forcing the manager to buy cheap, make sacrifices and weaken his squad, rinse repeat = midtable. Hicks already stated it's not about winning, it's about fan affinity. For what it's worth I want Roy to succeed, but it doesn't change my opinion that he is the wrong man at the wrong time for Liverpool. I don't blame him for taking the job, I blame the owners for putting us in this position. He is however unfortunately a symbol of their regime.
  19. 1. Have no business with them, but would be willing to open then close an account citing reasons. 2. Yes, as much as is viable being in a foreign country. 3. I live in the US, so it's not financially viable for me to travel to do this. 4. Have been refusing to buy any merchandise for the last 2 years.
  20. 5th. I was told in the middle of the last season that 4th was the minimum expectation of the last manager. I don't see why that is any different for the current one. We shold hit 5th or 6th this season, it gives him a bedding in period for him to adapt to the s*** condtions at the club. After that 4th is the minimum expectations. I'm not letting the f***kers that own us reset my expectations for the club!
  21. It's a typo.....it's supposed to say loathes the club
  22. I agree mate I am mad about t too, but none of it shocks me anymore:(
  23. Is it really shocking anymore?
