I think we have been plenty good enough. We might end up with 86 points for f***'s sake. The annoying thing is that Man Utd could have 90 points having played average football for big chunks of the season. They have also been helped by key decisions (Blackburn away, Bolton home, Spurs home etc.) and lucky breaks (e.g. Villa at home). Anyway, I think there is something badly wrong with the league when there are 3 teams (us, ManU and Chelsea) so much superior to the rest that they will all end up with over 80 points. The other top leagues are more evenly balanced even if there are at times teams, which run away with the championship. So yeah, IMO the league would be better if we were as good as we are, but Man Utd (luck, poor decisions) and Chelsea (money) were at their true level at maybe ten points below their current points totals respectively.
