Defending set pieces has been a problem for us for a while now. Even when we had the best defensive record in the league we were conceding more set piece goals than alot of other teams. Is it the system or are we just not implementing zonal marking correctly.

Couldn't agree more, very overrated player in my mind. Has a nice left foot and that's about it.

We have two fullbacks who aren't great defensively, albeit Insua is still young. Carragher hasn't been himself, Agger has had injury problems and Skrtel is just average.

Amazing. I remember when we were linked with him, I quickly headed over to youtube to watch him in action. He must one of the few players whose compilation video doesn't cast him in good light.
