Bringing players back into position is fine, my problem is when teams camp inside their own half and make no effort whatsoever to go out and play. Is that the most effective way to keep a result? Why not continue doing what put you in front in the first place? So often you see teams dominate a match, go a goal up, then retreat and invite pressure. When they eventually get the ball back, because the play is so congested, they have no outfield option so have to hoof it long which just surrenders possession again and the cycle continues. Just too risky a policy for me.
