  1. Taken from the Sevilla official site. My Spanish is non existant but that last sentence looks like they are saying he is staying ? Link
  2. Oh yeah. I forgot about the injury he had at Barca.
  3. Sky have picked up on the Trabelsi story. Reds head Trabelsi raceBy Graeme Bailey - Created on 4 Jul 2006 Liverpool have emerged as front-runners in the race for Tunisian Hatem Trabelsi. Skysports.com understand talks are at an advanced stage between the two parties, but Liverpool are yet to decide whether to finalise a move. Trabelsi is keen on the switch and is thought to have made Anfield his preferred destination. Coach Rafa Benitez has been actively pursuing Sevilla's Daniel Alves - but that move looks to have faltered, which may well have hastened his move for out-of-contract Trabelsi. Trabelsi seems set to leave Ajax and following an impressive display at the World Cup finals - a move to England appears the most likely option at this point. Arsenal are also known to have contacted Trabelsi's advisors - but the Liverpool interest is the furthest forward. Link
  4. The amazing thing about Beckham's "injury" was how he was able to run reasonably freely until he saw his number come up, and then the limp got progressively worse as he walked off. Tosser of the highest order.
  5. Found this on sky sports web page. Diouf also revealed that they are close to agreeing a deal for Liverpool's Djibril Cisse. Marseille have been chasing Cisse for some time and they have held talks with Liverpool officials over a possible loan switch. Diouf believes the deal is close to being sealed with just a few minor details to be ironed out. "We are closing on an agreement, we are on the right direction," added Diouf. "There are only a few details remaining Full article here
  6. Glad to hear it.
  7. I think heskey re-signing would put even Anny Road's faith in Rafa to the test.
  8. Apologies. You said " he's signing". Nice signature by the way.

    Alves

    See Lecters post above.
  10. According to you, the player himself.
  11. Well if he's signed it's safe to assume he has talked to the club.
  12. I hope Pennant signs, and there is nothing wrong with him enjoying himself, but lets not pretend that he dosn't have issues with alcohol. He was in jail for drink driving and also turned up pissed to training after being released. Also, I presume if the story is true, he was in Liverpool for talks with the club, not on his "holidays". For a player with his reputation it might not have been the wisest thing to go to a bar in the city.
  13. The twelve posts before yours would suggest that, no, you are not the only one.

    Aurelio

Skysports.com finally catch up with the rest of the rest of the web. Brazilian star Fabio Aurelio is expected to seal his move to Liverpool this weekend. The 26-year-old's contract with Valencia expires on Friday and, having rejected the offer of an extension, he is due to travel to England over the weekend to put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal at Anfield. A left back who can also operate in midfield, Aurelio has long been a target of Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez who coached the player when the two were at Valencia. Aurelio won both La Liga and the Uefa Cup under Benitez's stewardship at La Mestalla and the Reds chief is well aware of his quality. The South American will increase competition down the Liverpool left flank where he will do battle with the likes of John Arne Riise and Stephen Warnock for a place. He will become the Merseysiders' second signing of the summer following the capture of Craig Bellamy, although Argentine defender Gabriel Palleta is another imminent arrival. Aurelio joined Valencia in the 2000-01 campaign and while he impressed during his time in Spain, injury prevented him from ever truly cementing a first-team berth. Here
  15. That's bizarre. Unless Van Nistelrooy is involved I can't see how At the Races would be the first to break this story.
  16. Definitely broke it when buying Beardsley. Maybe Saunders and Collymore as well but not 100% sure. It's a complete myth that we have been struggling for money. Ever since I can remember we have spent relatively big every season. Last year we spent something like £25m and the season before £35m.
  17. A perfect scenario would be Italy winning it, beating Brazil in the final, and Ronaldo finishing top goalscorer. I would be down the bookies waiting for them to open if that happened.
  18. How old is Viduka? Seems to be around forever but I think he's still under 30.
  19. Never liked that prick Adriano
  20. Did Ronaldo get the goal. Radio said it was Adriano.
  21. Manchester United have quickly played down reports linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a summer move to Real Madrid. The 21-year-old has only recently penned a new long-term contract at Old Trafford - but reports continue to link him with a move away from club, and particularly Madrid. Ronaldo has now been quoted as saying he is open to a move to El Santiago Bernabeu and has even made contact with Juan Miguel Villar Mir - one of the leading candidates to win the Real presidential elections which are due later this summer. Villar Mir followed this up by stating he was indeed in talks with the United winger. "Manchester United know that we are talking with him," he said. "We have gone in 'through the front door'." United have been quick to react and are less than amused by Villar Mir's claims. "Manchester United are astonished with Juan Miguel Villar Mir's comments," read a club statement. "There has been no contact between Manchester United and his election team or Real Madrid, and any suggestion there has been is incorrect. "Unfortunately these tactics seem to be a common occurrence in elections of this nature. "Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a long-term contract with Manchester United which runs until 2010. He will be a Manchester United player next season. "We will not be drawn further on this matter." Ronaldo himself is currently undergoing intensive rehabilitation as he looks to regain fitness ahead of Portugal's World Cup quarter final clash with England on Saturday. sky ©
  22. Now that would be something special
  23. Various websites saying Didi has finally agreed to join Bolton.
  24. It sounds like we are still interested in letting him out on loan to me.
