Reportedly Nike have proposed a design with horizontal stripes for Barca's next home kit. Cos sales of the last ones are down, since a new kit with vertical stripes can only be so different. I guess this explains that horrific effort they had a few years ago with the really narrow stripes. Differentiate from the previous kit in order to encourage sales.

6 months ago I would have been resigning from my job if it meant having to take a flight and missing us eat a team like this alive. Tonight, I'm all right with getting the flight tbh. Hopefully we kick on from the second half standard v Stoke.

I am guessing that last transfer window and the next couple are when Rafa would have planned to deploy the 'one or two top level' strategy. He had to rebuild when he went in first.

It's to Smithdown's eternal credit that as far as I can see, he's chosen not to come on here during this run of horror, as he'd be as entitled as anyone else probably in the entire fanbase to say that he kind of called it. I also suspect he took Suarez leaving very hard. I know it took some of the good out of it for me.

I wonder could there actually be something in this. Would simplify his Spanish tax issue and give him the biggest pay day in the history of football. And presumably give Barca about €150m. Who else except for Chelsea would do it?
