if i can throw in my opinion here... I whole heartedly disagree that sport and politics should be kept seperate. Sometimes sport is the best vehicle to convey a point and sway a political event or decision. Look at the embargo against playing south african teams during the years of apartheid, the same against zimbabwe. i thought it was a disgrace that the england cricket team didn't take part in the embargo of zimbabwe when they went to play there however, i think for people to bring palestine flags into the match tonight is ridiculous, because the current situation down there is between israel and lebanon and not palestine. Secondly, if people care so deeply to bring lebanese flags into the game tonight to protest agaommst israel, then why on earth have we never seen them bring palestinian flags into games before when israel has been engaged in the systematic terrorising and apartheid of the palestinians for years? i dont think its the right context to demonstrate outside anfield tonight, the game has already been moved from haifa as a result of all this, and its not haifas fault, im sure some of the squad have lost people they know in the bombing. if people want to demonstrate for peace then im all for it, its a great idea, but i dont think an anti israel demonstration is the appropriate thing in this context, and thats coming from someone who despises the israeli governments actions over the years, including their current murderous actions in lebanon

Just reading up on a point of law relating to personal injury and go a bit sidetracked by this case its the case where alcock sued the police for post traumatic stress for seeing the hillborough disaster on tv, in which a loved one, although indistinguishable from the crowd, was killed the court ruled that you can't sue for damages as a result of showing it on tv, but if your loved w=one was shown on a close up on the tv then you can sue the tv station is this part of the hillsborough appeal campaign or are they appealing on entirely seperate grounds of police negligence etc..?

yeah the collar is great i have to say i know what you mean with the carlsberg logo, but i hope it doesnt come off in the wash, thats the only thing. the embroidered logo is also nicely done also the fron of the shirt has a slightly ribbed effect which is quality i think, gives it a v slight retro feel

im in dublin and mine arrived today. its well nice. mugh higher quality than the reebok and the liverbird at the back on the bottom of the shirt is a classy touch 1 word of warning, they are a much more fitted and tighter fit than the reebok. i normally wore a medium in the reebok and had plenty of room in it, this addidas medium is a bit tight i have to say! the ned kelly is highly visible in this one. its an incentive to lose the summer pounds so i am going for a jog before the match tonight!

surely rafa thinks he is worth 10M. he is a striker after all, a young one at that with a great record for scoring goals. strikers are always more expensive and if rafa is willing to shell out 7M for pennant, then surely he thinks kuyt is worth an extra 3M

agree, i always envisaged djimi as one of those we'd let go on a free, which we seem to do a bit too much these days i think 2M for djimi i will take with pleasure, especially if it goes towards securing the signature of one of rafa's 1t choice targets
