  1. would you buy Liverpool FC? No, i wouldnt know the first thing about running such a massive business and club. but i would invest in a vast amount of shares and a new stadium so i could contribute at board level, have an interest in the stadium, get tickets whenever i want, and not have to rely on these forums for dodgy transfer tidbits How much of your own money would you invest? A substantial amount, important that the club doesnt feel it can rely on a sugar daddy though, id invest whatever was needed to build the new stadium, increase facilities at the club and melwood, give rafa whatever he needed for players. Would you increase ticket prices? absolutely not. What you set the transfer budget to be this season? no budget per say. keeping the wage structure in check would be the biggest challenge Would you go ahead with the new stadium with fixed capacity for 60,000 spectators? no id have a stadium with an option to enlarge. no harm in keeping your options open

  10. yes please, thanks mate kopranos@hotmail.com
  11. RF: These stilts of yours arent so bad you know PC: Yeah, give us them back though, i dont like being this close to the ground, feel a bit sick..
  12. if i had a euro for the amount of times ive heard that tosh from people id be fookin rolling in it. i was at both of those games and yes he had a cracking game v holland, as did the whole bloody team! and macca scored the goal. if mcateer hadnt scored the goal we wouldnt have won the game. that my friend is a real fact, not just opinion. i love the way when we do well it was keane who did it for us and carried us. but when we lost or failed to qualify it was the managers fault! its sterotypical of all the deluded keanites out there. a serious affliction of double standards, contradiction, and fluff
  13. the truth is that as far as i know he said that, and i know for a fact he called him a w*nker and other such stuff in front of the players, keane admitted he called him a w*nker. thats the truth of the matter and its not getting in the way of any point i have made keane got paid for the article, maybe he later gave it to charity. still shouldnt have given the interview was my point, payment was just an added insult. as an irish fan i was a massive supporter of keane in a green shirt and held no bitterness towards him on the pitch, i'll admit i never liked him as a person, but when he walked away from us in the world cup i saw it as an ultimate betrayal, and the way he has manipulated the press about it since has been appalling.
  14. sorry if this is a romario. Real Sociedad midfielder Xabi Prieto has admitted he has been made a target by Liverpool. The midfielder admits he may leave the Spanish club if Liverpool did make an offer. Prieto said: "It is rewarding that a club like Liverpool follows you. It means that I'm doing things well. I have not thought about England, I am happy in Donosti, my city, where I have my friends, my fiancée. "It would be complicated to leave here, although you never know ..." Linky
  15. i didnt say i watched it because i hate him. i said i have an interest in him because i hate him. like i watch man united games on tv or everton games, i hate both of them, should i not watch their games?? let me clear this up about the 'carry on at the camp' you so vaguely refer to. do you actually know the story behind all this. the camp you refer to was the pre world cup training R&R (rest and recreation) camp, it was not the official training camp. when the team moved on to the training camp in japan it was top notch and thats undisputed. all countries to the R&R thing before a tournament, ironically its a team bonding exercise, somebody should have told little boy roy that. granted, in the week of rest and recreation when they were doing some training the pitch was a bit bumpy and dry and some of the bibs and training cones got delayed along the way. BOO fe*king HOO! every single other member of the camp was got on with it, it wasnt after all the main training camp. but precious little roy has to throw his dummy out of the pram. you really think thats how a captain should behave? walk out on his country because the pitch was bumpy and dry in the rest and recreation location prior to going to the main training ground?!!! get real. not only did he behave like a prize penis in that context, the manager who is his boss and tells him what to do, not the other way round, specifically asked him not to do an exclusive interview without the consent of the management team. what does roy do? ignores his management, does his own thing and sells a massive story to irelands leading paper telling how unhappy he is. mccarthy confronts him about this and roy, in front of the whole team and the staff, gets up and starts shouting at the manager, calling him and english C*nt and a sh*t manager and a sh*t player amongst many other things. ive never claimed mccarthy is a great or even good manager, that is totally irrelevant. whats relevant was, he was the manager and a manager deserves respect, especially from his captain, even if you dont like the guy, you act like a pro and get on with your job and respect your manager for what he is. roy keane is not a pro, never has been and never will be, hes a law unto himself, end of story. thats how a captain of the team should behave towards his manager is it? on the eve of the world cup? your having a laugh mate the fact of the matter is, keane never wanted to go to japan in the first place, he neevr wanted to play in the world cup cause he wanted to preserve his domestic career first. he engineered the whole situation so he could make his escape. he should have done us all a favour and pulled out before the world cup, but no, then he would have looked like a right bollix woudnt he? thankfully, a lot of people still think he does anyway. and roys career has gone downhill ever since.
  16. so you don;t think a captain and best player walking out on his country on the eve of their first world cup game because he disagreed with the manager is a disgrace? dunno what kind of logic you operate under. of course people who think he is a disgrace give a toss, hence why they think hes a disgrace, because they actually give a toss about their country! unlike roy. as for the match being live on tv and all over the press, well there are a few reasons for that. firstly, a controversial figure such as roy keane, whether you hate him or love him will sell papers and get tv ratings, simple as that. secondly, people in ireland either love him or they despise him, either way they were gonna watch part of the match. like me, i despise him yet i watched some of the game out of interest. roy is also idolised by man united fans in ireland and they're are thousands of them here and is also deified by people from cork in general. and certain numpty members of the media who from time to time, giv roy's a*** a good 'aul licking when they can.
  17. i would not idolise him. he's thug and a cheat end of story. He may have mellowed a little in old age, but back in his prime he was a total w*nker. what he did to ireland is a disgrace. roy keane is a hypocrite, he's a great man for preaching and telling people whats wrong with them and whats not right. but when it comes to taking responibility for his own actions he's a yellow belly. The world cup is a prime example of that. His book is the perfect example of that. never have i seen such a man of 'principle' turn his back on his beliefs just so he wouldnt get into trouble with the FA and police. im sure he does plenty for charity, but to be honest im sure that doesn't distinguish him from most footballers. they all do. what does distinguish him from other footballers and human beings is that he' aliar, and hes a thug, hes always been one, prior to his united days. i'll hold my hands up and always admit that he was one hell of a world class player in his day and a great leader on the pitch. any praise he gets for his footballing abilities is generally well merited. but there's more to life than being judged on the size of your trophy cabinet. and roy keanes actions over the years put him right down at the bottom of my list when it comes to respect of a person.
  18. only because Niall Quinn did!!
  19. you name me a time and a place where gerrard has walked onto a pitch prior to kick off with it in his mind already to go out and intentionally injure a player. and then to make things even more dispicable; profit from it by making it the main selling point of his book , ironically entitled "in my own words" and then when he gets into trouble for it, pussy's away from it saying that that particular passage in the book wasn't actually his own words, it was his biographers you tell me when gerrards done that and i will go to old trafford on the 1st day of the season and sit in the stretford end with a keane shirt on singing united songs. (i wont really)
  20. we're not as nice as Roy "walk out on my country, wreck a mans career, over inflated, aggressive egomaniac" Keane this is what nice people do is it?
