  1. EatSleepSport Dubai Holdings agree Reds deal Sat, Dec 02 2006 11:52 Dubai Holdings has secured a deal in principle to invest in the Reds with Rafa Benitez set to receive significant transfer funds. It is understood a deal was agreed late on Friday evening for the Middle Eastern investors to buy into the club although it is not yet clear if they have secured a controlling interest. Reds' chief executive Rick Parry has been in negotiation with Dubai Holdings for two years and it is understood that the deal will release considerable funds for team strengthening and for the new stadium project. Dubai Holdings, the Middle Eastern state's investment arm, looks to big global projects having recently secured an £800m purchase of Madame Tussaud's and the £675m buyout of Travelodge hotels. They recognise Liverpool's incredible world-wide appeal and are said to be keen to put the club on a level financial footing with the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid

    2 songs

i was right beside the villa fans and it was "where were you in germany" they sang so many sh*te chants, all generically sounding to the same 2 tunes i.e. where were you in germany, your unemplyable, we are unbeatable one thing in their favour is that when stevie came over to take the first corner in front of them, a majority of them applauded him along with the pool fans. also when they were leaving they all looked over towards us and applauded and gave us the thumbs up. gracious in defeat i suppose, when they are soundly beaten

  15. id actually like to see bellers tried on the left i remember him playing there for the bar codes a few times and being awesone
  16. but, but, but....this is a proportional, rational, objective and simple statement. i don't understand....
  17. was your can half empty?
  18. you actually said our victory tonight was a 'shocking performance'
  19. cant understand why people think baros is on the same par as bellamy. have you not been watching the premiership for the last 5 years? in terms of goals per season there may not be much difference, but other than that they are miles apart. and dont tell me they are only judged on goals. bellamy wasnt just bought for goals, baros was. bellamy can actually run with the ball at his feet somewhere other than the corner flag, and he can do it with his head up and he actually passes the ball, and he also has some genuine pace about him. and he looks like he realy cares
  20. i'll concede it argable it wasnt a good performance but it was by no stretch of the imagination a shocking performance. we controlled most of the game, we looked alittle uncertain at the back, our passing in midfield could have been better. but a shocking performance is one where we are all over the shop, being dominated and losing a game none of which happened, and we were away from home, in the champions league shocking? not having that
  21. well either way, to call it a shocking performance, is, well...shocking
  22. how can you say that after an away win in the champions league? it was a poor game, but by no means a shocking perfrmance, not even a bad performance. in fact it was nothing other than a good performance. any away win in the CL is a good performance, unless you score through fluke
