  1. Shangri La
  2. so we could become the most hated team in england if he comes? well fookin good. could do with a bit of siege mentality to push over the title winning line
  3. gonna be a baptism of fire for him on saturday, i hope he links up well with pennance, otherwise he'll be crucified see what i did there...
  4. thought that was his sister, can see the family resemblance
  5. why has the offal taken down all the quotes from kuyt saying how its a dream to sign for us etc...
  6. feyenoord spokesman on sky saying he could be a liverpudlian by end of today. he is in liverpool agreeing personal terms and doing a medical, but as far as feyenoord are concerned the deal is done. says hes easily the most popular player with the feyenoord fans and they are v sorry to see him go. they tried their best to keep him but he wanted to go to his dream club of liverpool. he says its a straight cash deal, no players involved. said we are getting a very hard working prolific goalscorer said spurs were after him last season but this season the only concrete offers were newcastle and liverpool and there was no question which one he would go to. says the fact that he may not start all games will be a challenge he will welcome
  7. bloody hell, we have 1 epic thread running for months, now we have 2! hes not signed yet, so its still not a done deal

  9. christ almighty thankfully this thread is coming to an end
  10. "For me, Liverpool is sure to be the dream club I was looking for," explained Kuyt. "There was more interest from abroad, but for me there was nothing of the calibre of Liverpool, a brilliant club with an enormous reputation, fantastic support and a fabulous history. It is an honour to play for a club like that "We did everything we could to keep Dirk at Feyenoord," said Chairman Jorien Van den Herik. "We went a long way to doing that and Dirk was open to that, but we knew that the chance was he would leave if his dream club came in. Liverpool is his dream club. "Many clubs have tried to contact Dirk over the recent period, but he's said no to clubs every time because they were not appealing enough despite there being many renowned clubs among them. That characterises Dirk's attitude: either Feyenoord or my dream club."
  11. he better fookin sign now
  12. not a bad theory that, quite plausible assuming we werent relying on CL qualification for kuyt, then we could use that money plus money for Kkamp for alves. which would probably use up our january budget but so what cant see finnan hanging around for too long if he becomes 2nd choice though
  13. i dont possibly see how we can afford to stump up 10M for kuyt and then another 10/12M for alves. we dont have the cash i think a loan move is probably on the cards, somoene like zebina on loan from juve seems like a more likely option seeing as trabelsi has gone to man city
  14. agreed. which is nice as we can start a new epic thread about who kromkamps replacement will be. we know it wont be alves..... cant think of anyone off hand who might be available. jonathan zebina anyone? wouldnt rule it out
  15. todays times: The bid to sign Dirk Kuyt from Feyenoord may be aided by the impending departure of another Dutchman from Anfield. Jan Kromkamp, who has struggled since his arrival from Villarreal in January, is attracting strong interest from a Dutch club, thought to be PSV Eindhoven or Ajax
  16. Feyenoord and Holland striker Dirk Kuyt is ready to snub Liverpool in favour of Newcastle. (Daily Star) lazy fookin journo's
  17. i think krompkamp might still go and we could see 2 new faces arriving. kuyt and a new right back. other than that it has to be pongo very happy that the kuyt saga seems to be drawing to a close in our favour i think that this guy will be a big success, purely because of his work rate, given the type of service he is likely to get in our team, if he works his balls off he will score goals
  18. slow day on the forums...
  19. you all seem to think blackburn will be top half where as i have them going down!! i think they will really struggle this year
  20. cat burglars i heard
  21. i rckon chelsea will have their eye on europe this season which could let us sneak in: 1. Liverpool 2. Chelsea 3. Man United 4. Tottenham 5. Arsenal 6. Newcastle 7. Man City 8. West Ham 9. Bolton 10. Everton 11. Aston villa 12. Charlton 13. Portsmouth 14. Boro 15. Wigan 16. Fulham 17. Reading 18. Blackburn 19. Sheffield united 20. Watford
  22. the 2 papers are seperate in reality, different editors, different journo's generally. dont see a problem with this at all, there is no boycott of the NOTW he was probably offered more money by them than the times and the mirror etc... so obviously he takes the best offer. tis the only reason people write books, to make money off them, so what if hes loaded, hes entitled to make money if he wants, and writing a book is hardly a bad way to make money maybe stephen king, jk rowling etc... shouldnt write anymore books seeing as they're all rolling in it
