  1. He was inconsistent last season, but did produce performances that showed he has the makings to be an above-average Premier League midfielder. Notably in the games against Man Utd at Anfield, and also Burnley at home. He's looked comfortable this season when given responsibility, which says a lot about the character of the man. Dovetails very well with Mereiles it has to be said. I also recall he did pretty well alongside Aquilani in the few matches they started together too.
  2. I keep wondering how last season would have gone if we had got this man in rather than the injured Aquilani...
  3. If that challenge from Johnson was a foul, then Kuyt should have been given a penalty.
  4. We actually look good here. Nice start. * by good I mean we are actually trying to play and not sit back giving the ball away.
  5. No. Chant right before the start of the game. Even when winning, chant. Loudly.
  6. Gets my blood boiling it really does. I want to smash his face. And Hodgson's.
  7. They were so bad that Mark Bright was having a go at them each time about not pressing. You have to think about it from Grant's point of view though. We generally setup deep, don't press, hardly move off the ball when in possession. He thinks maybe he can get away with playing a similar style, hold out for a 0-0 and then sucker punching us in the last minute. Good idea except that we seem to setup differently when at home, and even in the middle of games depending on the scoreline.
  8. That's not the first time we've heard rumours about Alonso and Mourinho falling out. I struggle to see why with Madrid you never know. I seem to recall talk from both camps about Xabi being Mourinho's coach on the pitch anyway so I highly doubt the story. Would be wonderful if he came back though.
  9. Wonderful finish. I was quite amazed by it.
  10. I'd like to wipe him out of our history books. And in doing so, he need not worry about being held accountable for anything.

    Carra

Serious question: would it be an outrageous call to suggest the possibility that if he were to be phased out of the LFC first team, he'd leave the club, get all bitter and return to his childhood blue roots?
  12. We are currently soulless, and have been this whole season. And it's mainly because the man who is supposed to be in charge, the figurehead of our team, is an impostor. Kenny returning would make everyone feel whole again, since the performances and results could hardly get worse.
  13. If reports are to be believed, only two "senior" players were involved...and they're the ones currently keeping this idiot in charge.
  14. You forget about Jovanovic who seems to have been shunned by the prick since the first half of a Euro game a few weeks back - anyone has a clue why?
  15. We have Jovanovic who is quick and naturally left footed sitting on the bench. We need some pace and width. Now we have four central midfielders on the pitch. Sitting back soaking the pressure, not trying to take initiative. Unbelieveable.
  16. Lucas Torres Dirk
  17. He just won't pass it to Lucas. Even when he's open for the quick ball out. No, Carra will roll it around looking for another player he thinks is worthy of a pass. And then end up hoofing it. It's amazing that Reina still gives him the ball on goal kicks and throw outs.
  18. Carragher still won't pass the ball to him though...
  19. RE the tweets, if that's what it was then fair enough. Regarding the methods though, Hodgson got ar$y with a journo who kept asking him if his approach (over the last 35 years) could be translated to LFC successfully or whether he was going to adapt. We know that he likes his teams passive but organised off the ball, rather than pressing higher up the pitch aggressively. This was the approach up until the Everton game. Before that, hardly any sign of what was displayed against Blackburn which energised, and gave hope to everyone...
  20. If it was Rafa's fault when they were sh*t because these are poor players he left behind, then Rafa should be claiming the credit for today's victory. Can't have it both ways. For me, all credit (as far as a manager's contribution is concerned) due to Hodgson today. Just like how I pin the previous horrible run on him. Also, as long as we keep winning he can stick Meireles wherever he wants on the pitch, you won't hear a peep out of me in dissent. And finally, as great a result as it was today, this does NOT count as a famous win.
  21. Did he not go on a 180 U-turn though for the Blackburn game, pressing high up the pitch after the disastrous passive performances against Blackpool and Everton?
  22. The c*nt also said something along the lines of "real LFC fans only, not the myth peddling ones". Many assume he was referring to Tomkins, who uses raw stats and facts to justify his opinions. The likes of this c*nt are the ones that peddle myth. Yet he has the audacity to come out with such statements...
  23. No.
  24. Lucas was MoM for me. Outstanding, best player on the pitch. Best performance in a red shirt, even better than his previous which was in the 2-0 win against Man Utd last season.
