Probably not but I don't need to invent a problem that's not there and use a sneery tone when discussing the manager. In all honesty i probably would if I thought he was a d!ck or his ideal end game was even aiming at something worth waiting for. Should I also advise people on how to quit smoking without telling them "not to smoke". Ta. We're not where we should be with these players but i've seen enough signs at the start of the season with some huge performances against big teams. We also haven't lost in 8. We're crawling there admitedly but I'm happy to give the gaffer a touch longer than 3 months of the season
You could see as shelvey came on that he was signalling a change in midfield with his fingers. That role Henderson was playing is Allen's in an ideal world. Well in an ideal world is Xabi's but you know what I mean.
we probably need to get the whole thing more compact as well so people have less to "go". There are some real spaces behine the front of the midfield two and to the side of Allen. That Hernandez in the first half was good at finding it
Which is fine but I don't think the way you put the initial concern is an effective or constructive way of expressing that. I don't think the tactic has that big a flaw in an attacking sense for what it's worth. We have a left back and a kid up front. That's going to effect us. I think the bigger tactical issues are going the other way
There were a few times where I thought that Henderson looked to be the most advanced midfielder but I think it became clearer and clearer that it was Allen at the base and the other two ahead
I don't think that we are playing posession football at all costs. We get rid when we have to and if someone sees a longer pass on then they hit. I think a lot of thise criticisms are based on "knowing" what Rodgers is trying to do and thus using it as a stick. I don't think it's based on what it is happening on the pitch. What we do lack I think are the legs to press and win it back effectively, organisation when we lose the ball and guile and ability to finish in the final third. The pressing thing really surprises me as I thought that would be Rodger's thing. We do look over exposed when we do it and the first press is beaten. The top end of the pitch is a personnel thing.
when rogers says he wants more players, who does he want replacing from that side today? Can't be Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Allen, Gerrard or Suarez. Fair bit to work with Brendan.
All the noises from the manager and themselves are that they are. Unless you think the manager is misinformed and FSG are out and out lying. I don't think that's the case.
I remember thinking Desailly was tough but then I heard him speak. You can't be intimidated by a fella with that voice I think his passing is underrated btw
they came down on his side as opposed to williams in sunday supplement basically cos he's good. mentioned the ridgwell thing too. just keep being boss luis
I agree. We obviously don't like them. Not as much as 2007 cos Mourinho was deffo a large part. If we dislike them less it's cos we don't compete for the same stuff anymore.
