  1. No. We didn't inquire about anyone. They came to us and mentioned the availability of a player and our staff nodded. Hardly daming. If i was cynical I'd say they used the big name of the club for just that.
  2. Redknapp did nothing wrong there. Said "Yeah I'd be interested in so and so if he's available , he's a hard b*****d" Not to different to us being interested in the kid really.
  3. f***KKKK!! WE'RE IN IT!
  4. NAME THE OTHER 6-8 MANAGERS PLEASE!!!!
  5. I don't see the issue with "softners" in deals. It happens in all walks of life.
  6. Who knows if we have what it takes. I thought we did a month back. For me judging on yesterdays game the answer is no. We were presented with a great oppertunity to draw or do better against 10 men and failed to come up with any ideas other than relying on Pennant. I was hoping we'd bring on Crouch with Kuyt up front, Switch Gerrard to the right and let Bellamy play wide left but it never happened. We bought players to give us options in the summer and bringing on Zenden was not going to win us the match. Why Garcia wasn't available .....well who knows but that game with 30 mins to go was made for a player like him. I think if we had got a goal back we could have gone on to win it so it's a real shame. Of course in theory we can win the league but what's frustrating is how hard we make it for ourselves at the start of each season. Our amazing run last year glossed over how bad a start we had. I hope we can put a run like that together again but it'll be tough to match it I think as it was amazing.

  8. What's up with Rooney. Jesus he was brutal today. Bar one pass he did zero and looked completly lost. If he gets anything other than a 2 for actually turning up in tomorrows papers then they were not at a game. A completly terrible performance for the second time in a week. Is he on the sauce?
  9. He was top class again. He's a hardy fecker too. Brilliant player.
  10. Agreewith all that. Gerrard right Bellamy left both whipping in balls for Kuyt and Crouch. Still can't make up my mind about Aurelio. Think he'll be good cover for LB but I don't see him adding much to LM to be honest.

    Riley

No complaints with him today. Sissoko could easily have gone and they could have easily have had a peno when Robben was mullered in our box!
  12. I agree. I don't understand why he didn't change it around then. It wasn't working and the crap thing was as a team we looked completly void of other ideas. I don't see Bellamy as an out and out striker and his roll was made completly redundant lumping the ball into the box only for Carvalhio and Terry to meet it with ease time and time again. Gerrard should have switched out right I think especially when they went down to 10.
  13. I think it was simply a great goal. No one expected him to hit it so early on the turn like that. Reina didn't even move. I think Carra was expecting him to take it down and then turn and run but he walloped it on the bounce. Great finish by a complete a***.
  14. The whole plan today seemed to be to get the ball to Pennant ALL THE TIME. I think Bellamy would have done a better job out there today. You'd swear Pennant was Figo in his pomp the amount of times we felt the need to get the ball to him all the time. He was really poor today.
  15. I agree with all of that except for Monty Panesar. No cricketer should ever win a sports award. Cricket is a pastime or a hobby not a sport. If you can play a sport in the same foot wear you go to work in then for me it's a hobbie. Cricket, Monopoly, darts, Snooker, bowling etc. and all competitive hobbies not sports.

    Pepe

That's one way to look at at. I thought he paniced in a game he had little to do in. He's nervous at the moment and is making som weird decisions like the one last week with Carra. He;ll need to put all that behind him tomorrow especially against corners as that's where Chelsea with all their money earn their points.
  17. What are you talking about? Sorry was is a doc on Owens career?
  18. I know the season isn't decided after 4 games but if we lose and ManU win it's over in my eyes until next year. Gerrard Alonso and Sissoko need to be on song tomorrow. I've a good feeling about tomorrow to be honest. In fact I'm more worried about the Newcastle and Spurs games as there the games that we'd usually not show up for after a big performance against someone like the Chavs.

  20. We will beat Chelsea and then lose to Spurs in the after glow of the Chelsea victory!
  21. Garcia has to be in there somewhere. Garcia of Kuyt?
  22. I hope we go for them like the league cup game. He were brilliant in that game from the off. They didn't know what hit them. If we go looking for a draw I'll be really peed off as we're better than that. I thought Dirk played really deep last night because he didn't have the likes of Gerrard and Alonso behind him feeding him. Hopefully he won't need to track back as much on Sunday. Also looking forward to Bellamy getting in a few rucks with the likes of Terry, Cole and whoever else.
  23. They were both very complimentry of us last nice. I was surprised at how positive they were.
  24. I'll be surprised if ManU don't win 3 or 4 nil.
  25. Personally I don't think we can win the league. I think we're a great cup team but not a league team. If we could be within 3 points of the top come Jan then I might think differently but we're usually out of the running by the time we hit form which I can't understand.
