Vladi was great in training and table football. Other than the very very odd good game he was crap for 5 years. All this is forgotten due to his CL display but I was glad to see him gone as he totally underachieved every single season with us. Garcia has nearly doubled Vladi's goal tally already and Vlad was bought as an attacking midfielder to break open defences and grab us goals.

All our "big players" showed up and I don't think anyone played badly at all. Gerrards finally scored again and we've looked more calm in the last two games. Not saying we can win the league or anything but with the champs league taken care of for a while it'd be lovely to see us rack up the points now and at least give us something to dream about come Christmas.

What I like about him is he's so self assured. He really doesn't give a crap about journos and the media or if he does he hides it well. He's got his stock answers which give away zero and he smiles and gets on with it. He gives the impression that he really doesn't care what people think as long as the board and players are behind him. Great way to be.

I can't believe other teams were not in for him. Really strange. I guess he didn't get that much action for Valencia. I agree with you his passing is getting tighter. Thing is he's 21 playing for a huge club like Liverpool in the middle of the park. Even if his passing was top quality you could easily see how nerves could get the better of him but he's a cool customer. Loads of times tonight I thought his little touches and layoffs were really excellent and he kept things ticking over really well. I think he's already getting better.

I agree. He's exactly the kind of player we've been screaming for for years. Vladi bless him was meant to be that player but Garcia offsets all the brutal passes by scoring really really important goals.He delivers when it counts timea and time again and that's gold dust. He's never really the one to score no. 4 in a 4-0 drubbing. Usually he's the one knocking in those important first goals in tight nail biters. For me Rafa knows what he can do and the rest of the team cover for a player like him. Gerrard, Sissoko and Alonso in midfield with Kuyt tracking back allows Garcia to do what he does best (stay away from our goal)

Yeah I remember it alright. Two players misreading eachother and it went out for a throw. No big deal. In a couple of years if he's passing like Maradona people will still be banding it about like a mantra. He miss passed around the same as everyother player on the park.

f*** me... magic passing from the back out of a tight spot. Those banging on about Hyypias pace need to take a look at the big man tonight. Plus Momos passing has been beautiful. Looks like we've finally found our confidence.
