No I don't. Gerrard has played worse than OShea all season right from the start. Robbie Savage puts him to shame at the moment.

Ok settle in is the wrong word. How are players like Pennant and Bellamy as well as Gonzo meant to perform when "one of the greatest players in the world" Gerrard is playing so badly along with the rest of the team. It's not the new players fault that we are so s****. The established players are performing so badly that teams like Pompy put us to shame.

Because they would have slotted into a performing team full of balance and confidence where they could add their game to the team rather than scrapping for a chance to show their worth in a brutal team.

Players like Pennant and Gonzo would have been brilliant in last years team. So to suggest we get rid is crazy. These guys need time to settle in. The problem is it takes a really outstanding player to make a team tick and that's the job of the more senior players why have mostly been s**** from back to front. Only Alonso can hold his head up at the moment.

I heard Green to referring to Gerrards off field issues. Interesting indeed. I'm really intrigued as to how this season is going to pan out. Not excited or down as it was well over long ago (and I'm over that) but intrigued as to what's going to happen with Rafa, his team selections and how we turn this around.. A win lose or draw today doesn't really effect things much. We'll be fighting for 4th come the end of the season which is what I thought after our first game anyway. A few more loses and things could really hot up.

It's amazing how much of football is down to moral and confidence. These are all excellent players but we really are on a dreadfully poor run. No idea what the manager can do really. The players need to pull themselves out of this massive dip. Very frustrating for everyone involved.

Man U and Arsenal were the big turn arounds too. I'd be happy with a 0-0 draw or even a 1-1 draw would have me very upbeat as it would be progress.Don't conceed to many and actually score away from home in open play before xmas. Exciting times indeed.

I hope he's not blaming playing on the right as being the reason to a poor start. He had his best ever season last year on the right. The reason for poor performances against the likes of Arsenal was that he sulked like a 10 year old from the start of the game. (I might too if it was Zenden taking my place) Oh well..

He's alright. I hate when he's on the wing as he's dreadful. If we're winning a game then he's great to bring on so we can rest Gerrard,Alonso or Sissoko. He won't let you down filling in but as a starter he'll never turn a game around. My head drops when he comes on as a sub when we're looking for a win though.
