  1. Well I'm not saying FFP isn't a factor but in my opinion it is not the major one. A ESL brings a massive increase in guaranteed revenue every year - this revenue means the club valuation skyrockets by multiples (3x4) times maybe That's the game that FSG are most interested in. Their game is not one where they now have the same finances as city so they can match their spending. Just because they have the cash doesn't mean it will be spent on players etc so we win stuff.
  2. Disagree. They were creating a situation where they and the founding clubs could hoover up way more cash - plain and simple! And sure there may be consequences for the rest of game but that's not our responsibility to worry about.
  3. How would Southgate know? I thought he was back in April. The sooner the better.
  4. Perhaps. Though his through balls have been disappointing. I was expecting alot more penetration especially with forward passing. I remember being p*ssed off when the Mancs signed Veron because I thought he was class for Samp and Lazio. Turned out to be well below expectations for them. Sometime signings just don't fit. L
  5. Yes the Philips situation was very confusing for all. Apparently he defends like Franco f**king Baresi in training so all thought things would workout grand on 1st Jan.
  6. Poor display. Mane looks fooked this season. Thiago looks like a player who doesn't fit our system at all. Our midfield 3 need to cover alot of ground. Strange signing if we continue with 433. Philips is miles off this level as we all know. Trent oh dear needs to do much better. No eviden e rhos lad couls cut ot on midfield either. Real missing 1st choice centre halves can bring on a 50 million signing from porto. We're f***ing around with a 2 million loan signing thst was ' great business' apparently. Sadly we are so reliant on Mo and Jota to do something.
  7. Looking forward to beating those dirty Real c**ts.
  8. When's he's back from injury and does he have any pace? Be good if he got a couple of games ahead of CL quarter final. I'm going with him and Kabak and hope to f**K Fab and Hendo will be fit in midfield with Gini in there too.
  9. Done well with Chelsea so far. Suppose he's expected to win the league with PSG. Thought they were a bit fortunate to beat Atlanta in CL last year
  10. Can't we just pay Gini a shed load of cash to keep him here. A midfield next season of hendo, Fab and Gini. Lets stop the f**king around. I really don't trust the Klopp system with only one of the above plus any combination of Jones, AOC, Thiago, Keita, shquiri, Milner (due to age)...I know it has been forced upon this season by injuries and poor planning by non football mgmt. Perhaps 2 of Hendo / Fab / Gini plus one of THiago Keita and Jones could work but I'm really not sure. The reality is we need our midfield 3 to work their b******s off in this system on and off the ball else we look may too open.
  11. Where you hearing that? Kelleher in so?
  12. I think I'll hold judgment on this. Let's see if the lads are actually any good for a team competing for the PL and European cup. Minamino was also the deal of the century. (I know Edwards has been excellent overall and appears to be working within strict limits)
  13. They're both right backs do you mean RB? Aurier has been first choice right full this season.
  14. Brilliant plan by FSG and it also means they can spend less cash. Sure what other big club would think of doing that Also when you are an outstanding 16 year old you are guaranteed to be an outstanding 23 year old player too What can possibly go wrong? I'll stop being a d1ck now.
  15. A few weeks in 'Jurgen speak' is end of Feb...Fuuuccckkkk.
  16. Agree. Also another way to look at this could be given Matip injury profile is to buy a quality centre in Jan, who can compete with Gomez next season and sell Matip during the summer. I'm a big fan of Matip by the way (I have him as first choice with VVD) but just made of glass....
  17. We run a pretty tight ship re transfers leaks these days so I'm not sure how you can make any conclusions based on no info. And what's with the 1 day transfer window? Surely a quality centre half is a good addition to the squad if he joined, god forbid, on the 2nd Jan
  18. RIP Gerard. Thanks for the memories
  19. Isn't a CL group stage match win worth a couple of million extra ? So could there be a bit of pressure from above to get the win especially with Covid losses in mind. Something like "sure Jurgen you can rest some key players but we can't we seen to put out a youth team for the' integrity' of the competition" i.e. we want the cash!!

    Kelleher

    and Mignolet!!

    Kelleher

I think Kelleher needs as much first team experience as possible at the moment especially as Alisson is due back soon. Each game he is going to learn that little bit more, gain that bit more experience etc. I'd start him.
  22. To be fair to Shaq he's kind of delivered on what I expected. He was bought as a squad player and generally plays well when given the opportunity and makes an impact. Naby and Ox both 40/50 mill players. I was hoping for a lot more by this stage esp from Naby. Ox unlucky with his long term injury but I wasn't overly excited by him when we signed him from what I'd seen previusly. Minamino seemed like a great piece of business at the time but in every meaningful game he's pretty much failed to deliver anything.
  23. RIP Diego. The greatest and iconic is an understatement. He won league titles and a World Cup with alot of average players in those teams.
  24. Yep Jota to start defo. THe fact he took hom off after 55 mins would indicate that also.
