A tragedy. I really hopes he recovers fully and will be able to play again. He played for my local team Hammarby and has/had a very promising future as a footballer. -
Hammarby (my local team in Stcokholm) Used to have a soft spot for Milan (Van Basten, Gullit etc) Barcelona (Zlatan! he he) oh and the Cicago Bears (1985!!)

Like who? There are not many world class central defenders for sale.

Inter and, to some point yes, Zlatan have struggled in the CL. IMO mostly because of a slow and uncreative midfield. I just find it fascinating that you seem to think that it is a small feat to have won the serie A every season (with two clubs), been voted serie A's best player and scoring the most goals (25) this season.

I think he is a good player. Strong, decent speed and good finishing. He was top scorer in Sweden two or three seasons ago and has been doing very well in Holland. He has been rumoured to be on his way to Ajax. But as you said the Dutch league is not as good as it used to be. I think he has the potential to play in the PL, but not at one of the top clubs.

Pretty much spot on. If he is nr 3,4 or 5 doesn't really matter. He is by far Inter's best player and probably the best player in serie A. Sure Intrer has been poor in the CL, but their team is not quick or creative enough. He would be even better in Real Madrid or Barcelona and I think he might move to improve his chances in the CL.

He did not have a great game, but he was by far their best player and created almost all of Inters chances. Their midfield is too slow and not creative enough.

Well i'm no expert on defending, but I think Skrtel was the worst player on the pitch last night. Loads of bad decisions and sloppy passing.

Many french talents has been compared to Zidane, but at least that goal was very zidanesque.
