Wilson is categorically not a left back. He really struggled yesterday, offensively and defensively. And I think it's hard to rate Maxi's performance when you consider that 99.9% of our passes were over his head. Thought that Cole put in a decent performance, probably one of the best I've seen from him, and that's saying a lot. Meireles is useless unless he has a licence to roam. If we had started Lucas with someone else and pushed Meireles higher up, I'd have fancied him to break the offside trap a lot better than Kuyt. But oh well, pretty gutted we're out 'cause it was a competition we could win. And I do think it'll be another problem in terms of attracting players in the Summer, assuming we don't qualify for any European competition at all, but that's the story of the last 18 months all in all. Kenny's got an absolutely massive job on.

Consistent top 4 finishes isn't an empty feat. Especially when coupled with consistently good runs in Europe. We were massively spoiled when you look at our performances in context.

Only an all Manc. final in the FA Cup will get us into Europe next season (assuming we finish 6th) according to BBC.

Ferguson has come out and said that Nani has a good chance of being fit against Bolton. Shock. Horror.

I really don't buy into this nonsense that all defences for all English teams are well equipped to deal with physicality. Every team poses a different problem in this league, and every team has a different style of defence as well. Even if the differences are sometimes not that great, they're still there. It's not Shearer vs Bruce in every bloody game. The 'English style' went out the window with the influx of foreign players who made the league a lot more diverse and interesting. The intensity remains, but the fans and atmosphere play their role in that. And further to that, Crouch isn't a big burly centre forward, and although Zlatan is a big man, he isn't a straight centre forward either.

I like the fact the majority of the media are banging on about the fact he's out for so long, but they're blatantly going to stretch it out over the international break. Think Ferguson knows that a team that's had Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney and Roy Keane in it for recent years can complain about bad tackles.

I want the premiership to become void due to inherent s***ness of all the leading parties. If forced to choose, I'd probably choose Chelsea, as hard as that is. Really couldn't deal with how insufferable Arsenal fans would be if they won it, and obviously don't want the scum to get #19.

Rafa would be stupid to go to Madrid, he needs to re-build his reputation and go somewhere with a good long-term future for him.
