Absolutely f***ing livid. The guy is a clown who we're paying completely over the odds for, would have reservations spending £10-15m for him. We're absolutely p***ing in the wind. No re-sale value at this price and he won't bring enough to the table to justify the inflation in the last half of the season. Would rather have Leon f***ing Best.

Llorente is a non-starter, don't know what Balague is on about, he was saying the other day that Adebayor had no chance in hell of getting signed permanently. Plus every man and his dog has said that Llorente has a deal with Real already done.

Since when could Ashley Young play as a centre forward? I don't understand the logic of people looking to his as replacing Torres in the slightest. He's basically a worse version of Suarez.

Yeah, definitely. For all of Nando's qualities, he's never been someone who could move out of his position for extended periods of time. I don't know, I think if you look for some positives there are definitely a few, but he still is one of the best forwards in the World and irreplaceable, but in the same token we can completely change the dynamic of how we play.

Agree with that, but maybe with Kuyt as CF and Suarez on the wing. Or certainly the three rotating.

Combination of the defence in general needing an organizer, all his confidence being completely sucked out of him during Woy's reign of terror, the fact that the defensive side of our game hasn't been the same since we lost Benitez's organisation and we've lost two world class defensive midfielders in the last two seasons and replaced them with Christian Poulsen.

You just spent about £150-200m. We're not City and nor are we going to have those players warming the bench any time soon.

The guy enjoys a good reputation but has had problems this season and on the back of the World Cup where he got accused of being a cheat, it could be argued that his valuation should be lower than what is reflective of his actual talent. It's not like Ajax aren't used to selling on their best players. Wouldn't go anywhere near him for £25m, far too high risk.

Adam could do a job. RM and Lucas aren't exactly passing maestros and with Gerrard maybe not reliable as a midfield metronome, he could be a player who could sit back when we play at home and do that. Wouldn't fancy him in away games, mind. We need a midfielder who can defend and ping it about. Heard that Alonso's alright at that.

Would like to see Shelvey given a full 90, but think it should be when Gerrard is fit. Think Shelvey/Lucas/RM wouldn't be combative enough against Wolves.
