  1. Murmurs coming out that Tevez has handed in a transfer request at City.
  2. Lucas Raul Meireles N'Gog
  3. Might be a stupid question, but on lfcglobe how do you access the stream links, or do they not link them until kick off?
  4. Even if Agger weren't injured he wouldn't be in the first XI. We only play with chuckers at the back these days, actually scratch that, we play with chuckers and PFK who doesn't chuck but can't pass, dribble, head or run either. Need to come into the game with the energy we showed against Blackburn. Think it'll be a repeat of City, United etc. games this season.
  5. Why? He's never shown a solitary moment of providing anything in first team football. Also, since when did Hodgson play out and out wingers at Fulham? Dempsey isn't one and Damien Duff played on the right cutting inside.
  6. It's Stream o'clock, anybody got any good ones?
  7. we'll start getting scrappy wins now, prolonged Hodgson's tenure. leaving us in the bottom half of the table come jan/feb and no one interested in taking over.
  8. Jovanovic Spearing Shelvey Martin Kelly!? He was absolutely dire. Hoofed it constantly, couldn't control the ball, dawdled, miss-passed. Just because he's young doesn't make him good.
  9. Because there's a difference between struggling to control a long ball with a defender breathing down your neck and trying to control a 5 yard pass when you're in acres of space.
  10. This is pretty dreadful, but one of our better ones of the season. Someone should shove that down Beglin's throat.
  11. I really hope he isn't playing a 4-4-2 with Shelvey on the right and Babel up front with N'Gog.
  12. Away from the sobering news, has Jay's mum not been on the blower? Was their some talk of Hodgson and Reina having a fall out? Some people were saying that he won't play tonight because of it....
  13. Third was a restaurant owner who confronted gang of youths throwing stuff at fans.
  14. Well, I've done enough defence for Rijkaard for one day. All I'm saying is I don't understand why people are pushing him to one side so easily. I, personally, would probably prefer Pellegrini, but I have a bad feeling about him and the kind of football that he likes to play. I think it'll take a lot of his signings and at least a season for him to adjust to the English game. Granted, whoever takes over will have a re-building job on their hands and both have experience of creating quality sides, but I just worry that Pellegrini's lack of experience in more physical football will undermine him.
  15. I'm not sure if it's rushing, we obviously spoke to Rijkaard in the Summer. Just like we spoke to Pellegrini, Hodgson, Deschamps etc. etc. Rijkaard and Deschamps were put out the running because of their recent appointments.
  16. he's managing in the UAE at the moment, would imagine he'd probably fancy some real work.
  17. There are a lot of misguided people trying to do the best for Liverpool, not people who just want a pay check. Assuming John W Henry comes in and brings an era of stability and we keep Kenny and get a strong assistant coach, then why couldn't Rijkaard do the job?
  18. Deschamps won't leave Marseille. At what point, among fans, did it become the opinion that Pellegrini is a better coach than Rijkaard? Have people forgotten how good Barcelona were with him at the helm? He brought through Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Valdes etc. etc. and helped turn Samuel Eto'o into a world class striker after he couldn't get anywhere at Real Madrid. Yes, there was a decline after Ten Cate left and that it is pretty common knowledge that it's because Rijkaard lost the dressing room, but there were a lot of ego's at Barcelona at the time, and the lynch pin of the side was Ronaldinho who decided to turn into a fat waster. His story at Barcelona is, arguably, pretty similar to Rafa's here (lost Pako and declined etc. etc. - although we did have our best domestic season under him after that) and then lost the dressing room/failed to motivate the squad in his last season, causing a remarkable decline. Pretty sure I'd still take Rafa and he's still a fantastic coach, though.
  19. Rijkaard, with Ten Cate as assistant or Dalglish as Dir. of Football and you have a world-class manager and someone who will get respect of the players, which is what Rijkaard is accused of not being able to get.
  20. has Rijkaard said that he doesn't?
  21. Would argue that Rijkaard has good experience in working within new structures at clubs considering he was the first Laporta appointment after Gaspart's reign of decline. Built a new team, bringing along many of their quality players today in the process, and coupled domestic and European success.
  22. Yeah, then Houllier can claim credit for getting rid of Woy.
  23. Was reported on SSN. Said that he weighs in on every single decision and basically said he blamed Hicks and Gillett first and foremost but Purslow nearly as much.
  24. Anyone see Patrick Barclay's tweet tonight? Someone tweeted him "@pbarclaytimes you and your cohorts really need to put a stop to this pro-Hodgson agenda, it is painfully transparent. We are not stupid." to which he replied: "Oh yes you are."
  25. I hope you're being sarcastic. If we signed those players I'd be hard pressed to carry on supporting Liverpool Football Club. Talk about your s*it mediocre British players, with a list like that you could easily get a job working for most of the British media.
