all footballers should be banned from 'writing' books, till they are long retired.

Dunno why anyone wastes their time reading 'em, or their money, just to line rich players pockets to be honest.

Its very cleverly marketed, Steven Gerrard has obviously had nothing to do with it but its made out he wrote it.

if it's made out he wrote it, I presume he had something to do with it?

Or is it an unauthorized biography?

Either way, waste of time and effort all of 'em!

Who wrote it? If its Henry Winter, then, yes, its the proper one. If not, its nothing to do with him.

There was a bit in the echo on saturday about it. Apparentley according to bascombe its full of refrences to the s*n. The fella whos wrote it dont know his name seems like a right c***, he's used general quotes given to the media by gerrard and passed them off as s*n exclusives. I would wait till september when his official one comes out.

im halfway through reading it / halfway through being mugged. it is pretty lame. as everyone says, a bland chronological story of stevies career and there are loads of s*n quotes in there which i find quite staggering.

good news about the winter book though elisha, i'll definitely be getting that one.

liverpool book ive enjoyed most recently is "a season on the brink", some really good inside sources from players and staff. read it in a day, really disappointed when i finished it

It certainly doesn't claim to be anything to do with SteG - it is quite patently an unauthorised biography. One shocking picture of SteG celebrating with Ged the Levski goal (?), saying that his was his first goal under Ged....!

As I got it half price off amazon, I am not that fussed how good a book it is... :)
