Paul_LFC Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Against Arsenal after scoring a late winner, at Full Time he just stormed off to the Dressing Room without shaking hands with the other players and celebrating the win and his goal. Looked very moody. Today yet again, the whistle goes and he just walks straight to the dressing room. Today, he was put through, but made a mess of it and the ball went behind him. He wasn't happy with that and the whistle went right after that. It's sad to see but I just guess he isn't happy with being on the bench and the occassional stick he gets. Shame as he was always the happy one last season. Chin up son.
Benitez Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 maybe he's not happy being made to play through injury. Who knows! He ain't happy bout summet thats for sure.
Earl Hafler Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Maybe it's because with those stupid sideburns, he looks like Lou Diamond Phillips
Barnesy_10 Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 (edited) getting a start midweek in an important CL match and being absolutely woeful aint gonna do him any favours..I love Luis and appreciate what he did for us last season, but watching him trying to walk the ball through players over and over is doing my nut in.. Swipe Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 getting a start midweek in an important CL match and being absolutely woeful aint gonna do him any favours..I love Luis and appreciate what he did for us last season, but watching him trying to walk the ball through players over and over is doing my nut in.. I really think LG has to be played as far up the pitch as possible. He's saved us a number of times and scored some great, important goals - but so many times, when he has time on the ball and time to think, he messes up.
gkmacca Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 I'm really surprised if he has been storming off, because, for all of his faults, he's always been an excellent team player, encouraging his teammates and showing the right kind of support.
hels smicer Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 (edited) really felt for Luis today theres odviously something really up with him was upset all day from start to finish he out no effort into warming up before the match just stood in the midle in his tracksuit & jacket he wouldnt even look at rafa as he was coming on rafa stood behind him giving him instructions & pointing to what he wanted him to do then that was it its a shame really to see Edited February 26, 2006 by hels smicer
Foo Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Regardless I always feel he is more likely than our strikers to score whenever he comes on as a sub. I feel that in my left foot by the way.
Tetti Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 really felt for Luis today theres odviously something really up with him was upset all day from start to finish he out no effort into warming up before the match just stood in the midle in his tracksuit & jacket he wouldnt even look at rafa as he was coming on rafa stood behind him giving him instructions & pointing to what he wanted him to do then that was it its a shame really to see Wasn't at the game yesterday so missed that. He seemed very dejected warming down after Benfica, but that was understandable. What's going on then?
Gray - YPC Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Isn't there someone on RAWK who knows him? Maybe they could shed light on it?
mofus77 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 maybe the fact that he was booed onto the pitch might have upset him a bit ?
Tetti Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 As I wasn't there, can only comment on the impression that it seemed to be a reaction to crouch coming off, but those there would know better.
cymrococh Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 think it was the decision to take Crouch off that was booed, not Luis. still f*cking low though and anyone who booed should be ashamed.
johngibo YPC Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 defo to crouch coming off and i hope he realised that
matty Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 'the final solution' my word, Rafa is ambitious.
Bootle Buck Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 (edited) Luis is too inconsistant to be a regular starter. He plays better as an impact player. I think he is ideal for those games were we go at teams people from the off (Juve , Chelsea, Everton at home) . Or use him to come on late and provide a winner(@rse). The fans will get too frustrated if he is left in week after week as he is either a lethal finisher or abysmal. Edited February 27, 2006 by Bootle Buck
McBain Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 'the final solution' I think total extermination is harsh. but i'm willing to back Rafa if that's his way
