marty Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Debut joy for Reds' Gonzalez Feb 6 2006 Liverpool Echo MARK GONZALEZ came off the bench to score the winner in a 2-1 victory over Real Mallorca on his league debut for Real Sociedad. The winger, who was sent out on loan by Liverpool after failing to land a work permit, handed new Sociedad coach Gonzalo Arconada the perfect start. Morten Skoubo had put Sociedad in front but the visitors equalised in the 34th minute through Leandro Pisculichi.
Leo No.8 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Well in speedy - at least one red had a good day anyway...
Redwire Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Here's the goal. Not bad at all. http://www.youtube.com/w/Mark-Gonzalez-Goa...rch=Gonzalez%20
Elisha_Scott Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Looking forward to seeing him at Liverpool. Apparently in tests they did at the club, he was the fastest player, even faster than Cisse.
Reggie Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Looking forward to seeing him at Liverpool. Apparently in tests they did at the club, he was the fastest player, even faster than Cisse. Very impressive considering he has been out for so long with a serious injury.
DonRafa Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Looking forward to seeing him at Liverpool. Apparently in tests they did at the club, he was the fastest player, even faster than Cisse. He's well named then!
Guest lollyfi Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Very impressive considering he has been out for so long with a serious injury. we need some one who can provide those kinda finishes.roll on next season.....double euro champs win the league...sounds good doesn't it
drdooom Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 What's he doing with Liverpools knee jumping over the advertising signs like that?
Maldini Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Alonso setting up Gonzalez, here's to the future!
SkippyjonJones Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Speedy arrives late at the far post!!! if he could play on the right he'd be great at getting all the over hit crosses from Kewell!

Like I've said before - I'd liken him to Overmars myself. I knew he was quick, but faster than Cisse... If there's one thing you can say about Djibs, he's lightning fast. Being quicker than him, with Gonzalez's ability on the ball as well, he'll be frightening...
Guest Sabre Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Yup, the problem with Cissé is that he's got no control over the actual football - he can run but he can't dribble
Behind Enemy Lines Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 What does Skoubo do?It's a number game - very popular in the printed press currently
Toni Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Could we could still encounter problems with his work-permit next season?
