Watering the pitch

I noticed that Martin Tyler said during the second half that ManU had the pitch watered at HT to make it easier to play. He said that only the half that we would be playing second half was watered though.

At 0-0 (and my ManU supporting mate can testify), I was irate. This has nothing to do with the result and everything to do with fair play. What utter, utter c***s. That is the lowest of the low imo. f***ing cheating. As much as I hate Manu I never thought them capable of such lowlife, Bolton-esque c***ery as that. Shows exactly how far we've come tbh

Totally don't know if this is against FA/Prem rules or not. It's on a par with time wasting ball boys ;)

What about Rooney's 'sporting' ball back to us after we kicked it out when their player went down 'injured'? The f***ing c***. Seriously, we should not be kicking the ball out of play for ManUre players, even if every single one of them was down, concussed and/or convulsing.

We should play on until they themselves win back the ball. These cheating b******s cannot be trusted. As it happened Evra got up within 5 seconds and Rooney booted it for a throw in right next to our goal which put us under pressure, when the sporthing thing to do would be a pass back to our 'keeper.

What c***s.

i think players or managers need to agree on a code of conduct whereby the ball is played back to the penalty area of the team who were in possession. Then the keeper can pick it up or a defender can have it.

Just scrap the stupid ambiguous "gentleman's agreement" and let them play football. Too many cheats are trying to con the other team now because of it, the only time the ball should be kicked out is if the injured player is in the way of play.

Agreed, if this did in fact happen at the very least it is gamesmanship of the worst kind, I was not at all happy to hear this, I hope it's not true...

the unwritten rule is that you give it back to the opposing 'keeper and you do not challenge or put pressure on the ball. but then rooney isn't a sportsman is he?

Why is Rooney allowed to scream abuse at refs 20 times a game without getting a card? Anyone else would be sent off for what he does.

he's the only player who seems to get away with putting his hands on a referee every time he does it as well. refs are in awe of him.

If the injured player is Man U then HE not the ball should be kicked out of play.
