Harry Redknapp is again doing very well in the transfer market.

He already signed Benjani for 4.1mill and now he managed to coup spurs Sean Davis, Pedro Mendes, and

Noe Pamarot for a combined deal of 7.5mill....around 2.5mill each.

Some shrewd business by Harry and all his new players will improve his first 11 a lot.

davis and mendes are better than diao and hughes or that french guy they play in the middle...davis at one point before his injury was wanted by many clubs, mendes is a great player for pompey and paramot will improve their back-line as well...for 2.5mill each, i think they are steals. Today with 2.5mill you buy nothing.

7.5mill good business? He's been mugged bigtime as it stands at the moment ,Sean "I play about two times a year because im always injured" Davis, Noe "I'm absolutely woeful so cant get in the team" Pamarot and Pedro "The only thing ive ever done in my life is a goal that never was, other than that im s***" Mendes.

Yet again Spurs get lucky.

Not content with getting 8 / 10 mill from chelscum as a bribe for the admin bloke, they now get 7.5 mill for 3 rejects and a ton off the wage bill.

Harry is used to dealing with euro cast offs and very low fees, well now we know why. He cannot be trusted to spend wisely.

Sorry but 2.5 mill players are usually decent players but this lot are non playing rejects with very little prem experience. Would have been better off plundering the top players from Div one, cos that is where they may be again.

Sorry Harry you cocked up.

Bet Spurs spend it much more wisely.

Harry spends £7.5mil of someone else's money and also gets a new indoor swimming pool built in the garden of his Sandbanks home - totally unrelated of course. ;)

It's a tough life, Harry.

Probably not good business in terms of the fee but if Redknapp was given a budget and these 3 were bought in well within that budget then fair play. Just like Chelsea can afford to pay silly fees for the likes of Drogba but if he helps them win the league (or in Pompey's case, keep them up) then it doesn't really matter.

how ironic that this happened on the same day as newell's comments regarding agents and bungs

redknapp was asked about that by the bbc on the radio this morning. he reckons that it's not a problem and that newell is over-estimating the problem. harry added that he doesn't get involved in the negotiating at pompey, he leaves that to his chief executive. who just happens to be peter storrie, ex-west ham chief executive.
