Well 2019 Sane maybe.

Given how inconsistent our fullbacks are, even this version will be a handful

These got beat 5-1 by Frankfurt last week, we should be winning this and having fun in the process.

Last year they finished 14th in the Europa league group

Should be one of our easiest away games

Nearly go. Alisson, Frimpong, Gomez, Virgil, Robbo, Grav, Szob, Macca, Gakpo, Ekitike and Chiesa.
Isak, Mo and Wirtz off the bench

Agree with back four and the three up front. I'd treat this as a whatever game on par with Southampton and rest players with Chelsea in mind. We do not need to win every away game in the CL.

So I'd go Mamardashvili; Frimpong Gomez Virgil Robbo. Midfield with Endo behind two others, depending on who needs minutes and who needs to rest. Gakpo, Eki and Chiesa upfront.

Obvious players coming on depending on how we do and who is shyte and who needs to rest but still get minutes.

I'd rest Mo I think and maybe then play Bradley & Frimpong

I'd start Gomez

OK, you can be the one to tell Mo he's not playing in the CL then.

Mac Allister probably needs to play 90 minutes soon. Loads of time til we play Chelsea.

Is he still carrying an injury, or only lacking fitness?

Same with Isak, lack of pre season means hes not at his peak match fitness.

I'm not sure that really holds - Mac A was involved in pre-season from the Yokohama game at the end of July. Sure he was a bit behind the rest off the group, but you'd expect him to be fully firing by now. Isak is a bit more understandable.

Im just going off from what Arne has said about him. Hes a bit ahead of Isak but Arne mentioned not that long ago that Macca cant do 90 minutes 3 games a week

That's my point - you'd expect him to be able to by now, which makes me think there's other stuff going on with him. It's a a shame 'cos we could do with him fully firing.

Chiesa has been left behind for this. Bit baffled. You can bring 23. Not as if our forwards are amazing at the moment and he’s in form.

That's really weird given they've specifically included him in the squad - unless he picked up a knock on Saturday.

Speaking of knocks, Danns did his hammy playing for the ressies at the weekend. Can't get a break that lad.
