Direct action thread

There you go, not obscure at all now.

At which game will you choose to take direct action and what will you do?

Any game, and do anything short of a pitch invasion. Would picket, leaflet, try and talk people out of not going in. Would talk to people before game who are match goers but not internet types, try to get them to join in.

An empty stadium from kick-off would send a clearer message than a walk-out in my opinion. So long as fans protested against the owners outside Anfield while the game went on, there could be no confusion as to why the seats were left unfilled. I can't be part of any action sadly but I will be happy to make a donation to SOS when the latest plans are unveiled for whatever comes next.

We will win this.

For those more remote reds, my 2 cents worth would be to get as many people as possible to call Blackstone to ask them if their core value of Integrity would be consistent with involvement with Hicks and what he plans to do with Liverpool FC. Leave messages, call again to re-clarify, call their fax number. Call multiple offices, let them understand what may happen in terms of affecting future investors / business if they end up with thousands of Liverpool fans constantly protesting against them...

When would the walkout be staged? Half time, or later? Or maybe 20 minutes in?

I think it is a great idea, as it will be caught by cameras, and hopefully bring to attention to those lending Hicks money that maybe his asset really isn't one.

Am at the Sunderland game and am more than happy to take part in any walkout or late entance into the ground. Would take part in a blockade or most other organised action too. We NEED to take action now, this is the most crucial few weeks in the club's history for a long while - If Hicks refinances it spells disaster for our club.

walk out

Not enough time to get it done properly for Sunderland

But Blackpool

Tell the world we are going to do it, get everyone to know about it

and then f***ing do it

Kop, 20 mins in.....Then others will follow

Congregate outside the entrance and chant till you are hoarse

I don't think enough would walk out for it to work.

But i'll support any ideas. However i still think blockading the bus is the best idea

But to answer the initial question i will get involved with whatever is going on at both games

you see I think enough would, if we got it publicised

Just a thought, but wouldnt a walk-out be better if done during a game that was being televised live? Far more coverage and an 'as it happens' live angle to it as well - meaning it'd get attention as it was happening as well as on the later sports news bulletins etc.

aint got time to wait for that though

anyway, sky sports news soccer saturday thingyo would have to comment on it if it happened against sunderland, so would the radio

I think if a block, or a few hundred left with a 'lets all have a walkout' then some would follow.

Yeah, that did cross my mind too, and it's a bit of a stumbling block unfortunately.

I think this is the most important aspect of all this. It's all a bit messy at this stage but some people will refuse to boycott the game, they will go in and take their seat but this walkout is something they can do. If they can't bring themselves to leave because it is just so important that they never miss a single minute of any match then they can wear black or something as weak as that if that's all they can muster. But it's still something. If there are enough ideas knocking around on the day then no-one has an excuse for doing nothing unless they really can't be bothered or don't feel there's anything to complain about.

I dunno. A ref would just walk. Then what are we gonna do, physically restrain him? No way the players would get off a bus

bad publicity too

if it's our bus we can have a sing song and all that happy gear, no trouble, no narks

imagine if the ref was Webb?
