Is there a threshold you wont pay?

Just my dad's next door neighbour is a city fan and him and me dad always go the game together, dad sorts him tickets for anfield and vice versa, the ticket for our game this season is £63 in the home end.

Makes me wonder how much we will get charged.

could we see our first ticket away from London at £60?

It's illegal to charge away fans more than the home fans isn't it?

Yeah but more clubs are charging different amounts in different areas of the ground now, so you can charge away fans the same as the higher end prices

Like Birmingham do the bellends

I generally accept i'll pay more in London, and enjoy the trips so will go. I don't go to Chelsea though and will swerve Spurs from now on as well. Generally i like at ticket price vs standard of away and make my decision accordingly.

By the way, you can get 1 adult and 2 kids season tickets for Wigan for £300 this year. Obviously you have to go and watch Wigan all season though

at the moment away fans can be charged any more than the dearest home seat. i think that needs to change so that away fans dont pay more than teh cheapest home seat. usually the away end is the worst spec, and with the added costs of travelling, i think its siomething the FA need to look at. they wont, though

City as in Man City are charging £63? Surely that's some sort of special section or something like that?

Not like they need the money and a decent % of their fans are working class mancs who can't afford that.

If anything you'd think City would have lowered ticket prices.

I wouldnt pay over £50, f*** that. They're all taking the piss now, everyone loved Villa because it was always cheap and decent yet them f*****s were £43 last season, Birmingham have been robbing us for years. Chelsea are edging closer to the £50, as are Spurs and West Ham will be even more ridiculous with them loons in charge. I'd rather keep my money and do the Euro aways or stay local.

You can do the Rome Derby with a night in a great hotel for cheaper than a train day trip to watch us in London. How the f*** is that right?!

That the was point, if city are flogging tickets at 63 each, I reckon the aways will get the same

That's what i'm doing. Hoping we get somewhere class in the 3rd round like Slovan Bratislava or Cercle Brugge for a nice summer trip then an easy play-off round team and a cracking group with 1 class team and then 3/4 boss located minnows.

Knowing our luck we'll get f***ing FC Atyrau or FC Baku.

I can't imagine what normal lads are going to get involved in going the game at these prices. When I was 15 or 16 it was a stretch to get the money but it was still just about pocket money and a paper round, that kind of money.

Its not better football, its not more of a laugh, you have to sit down next to some moany faced old t*** and not go and stand with your mates, the atmosphere and singing aren't there any more. Why would anyone bother starting now ?

Have you a link to these 63 quid tickets?

If our tickets are 63 quid at City, I'm not going.

Was already wondering if i'd do this one, as it's been switched to the Monday night, which means a day off work - as i live in that London...

If it's £63, they've made the decision for me.

Dominic King: Liverpool FC fans ticket price hike fury is very easy to figure out

Jul 24 2010 by Dominic King, Liverpool Echo

IT hasn’t all been good news from Anfield this week.

That it will cost up to £43 to sit on The Kop next season is a further sign of the harsh financial climate gripping the club (don’t forget the £2.50 booking fee).

Given the country is in an unprecedented spell of purse-tightening, there are real fears gaps will open up on Britain’s most famous stand.

No wonder.

With many people not in a position to meet that cost every other week, this is perhaps a sign that sections of the local support will find themselves priced out.

After Liverpool performed abjectly and missed out on a Champions League spot last season, many fans are understandably indignant about this 15% hike.

The game has moved on and the days of ticket/programme/pint/bus fare for less than £10 are gone, but the club must be wary as this is an exceptionally sensitive issue.

Earlier this month Liverpool there had been times when they had taken supporters for granted. That admission struck a chord.

Actions speak louder than words and this development simply reinforces the feeling that fans are carrying the can for the many failings of Tom Hicks and George Gillett.

George Gillett finally tries to get on his bike in Switzerland

GEORGE GILLETT has been an interested spectator at every training session in Bad Ragaz.

But back at the club’s hotel one evening the Reds’ less than popular co-owner decided to head out for a bike ride and was examining an array of mountain bikes outside the dining room.

There was clearly, something bothering him and it soon became apparent when one of Liverpool’s squad headed past him en route for his evening meal.

“Could you possibly tell me which is the bike belonging to Jay (Spearing)?” he asked. “He’s a little guy like me; all the others are too big for me to ride.”
