Although there are a fair amount of Celtic fans that didn't warm to him, it must be disheartening to be aware that pretty much any premier league job is more attractive to managers

Moyes to Celtic?

Tis what they are saying in media world...how could he leave them though - their new shop is about to open!

3 league title in a row plus a few cups. Gets them through the group stages, TWICE, which no other manager had done with them before, not even "God" Martin ONeill! Hes been their most successful manager in recent times but they still didnt want him there. Theyre a hard lot to please.

They win their league 3 times on the trot then lose it by 2 points and hound him out?

Tossers!

Not sure he was hounded out - just looks like he was angling for a move back into the Premier League anyway, like McLeish did.

Celtic fans i know, which is a lot, have wanted him out from the minute he arrived.

Due to him not being an Irish Catlic.

I don't think that was it RP, they didn't like him from his Aberdeen days so he was never going to be loved. If I was a celtic man I would just be pleased at winning 3 out of 4 league titles and let him get on with it, regardless of who he played for in the past.

General opinion of the Celtic fans I know is that his Aberdeen past definitely counted against him, but would have been overlooked maybe if he'd had a win-double on the nationality/religion front.

Talk is that Tony Mowbray is now favourite - not least because of his assistant who ticks the required boxes.

Yeah, they hated Kenny too.

No they didn't.

But don't let that stop you, chippy.

They also loved him when he was there. His wife sadly passed away during his time there and the crowd/players really got behind him during the tough time he obviously went through (the celtic huddle was first used in a 'lets do it for Tony' kinda way when his wife passed away) plus there are the stories about him and Duncan Ferguson that obviuosly help his standing at Celtic Park.

RPs right too about Grant, another Fans favourite.

Yes I know. That was the point I was making if you had any reading comprehension skills. Trying to blame some Celtic fans' dislike of Strachan on the fact that he isn't a Catholic is absolute b*llocks.

Or were you "only joking"? In which case, I wouldn't give up the day job for a stand-up comedy career.

Was told that story about what Duncan Ferguson said years ago (if that's what you're talking about).

Wonder if it's true
