domlfc Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Just want to say, thought HW was a disgrace tonight. Gave us feck all
Tosh Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 And gave them a lot I thought we lost all 50-50 calls.
Gomez Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Just want to say, thought HW was a disgrace tonight. Gave us feck all He was f**king abysmal, and you are right, he gave us f*ck all, two or three blantantly obviously decisions in our favour he got wrong. But he was only at fault for one of the four goals we conceded. You can't ship 8 goals in two matches and seriously expect to win things.
domlfc Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 And gave them a lot I thought we lost all 50-50 calls.Silvestre got away with murder in the first half and as you say none of the 50/50's went our way. Dont recall him doing us any favours at all this season
LondonLiverpoolFan Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Can't blame that on the ref. No he wasn't the best and didn't give us a couple of clear free kicks. That's all though. Individual mistakes cost us. 3 massive ones.
Maldini Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I think he's the best ref in the league by a mile but he was f***ing awful tonight.

Individual mistakes cost us. 3 massive ones.Silvestre would have been off with most refs, he merited about 4 yellows tonight and could (I say could) have had a straight red/ I think he's the best ref in the league by a mile but he was f***ing awful tonight.I used to think that, but there are only so many p*ss-poor performances you can have and still claim that accolade. Tonight was far from his first.
surf Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 was it a pen right at the death? think there was a shout for handball but didnt see it properly and no replay probably nothing tho
domlfc Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 Am I wrong or was their first goal offside? Not for me, would have been going mad if it was us and it had been given off
domlfc Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 was it a pen right at the death? think there was a shout for handball but didnt see it properly and no replay probably nothing thoI nearly kicked the telly, looked a clear pen to me but i am bias
carrafan Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 (edited) Am I wrong or was their first goal offside? Replays showed that it wasnt. Thought Webb was fairly bad to both teams today. We got some freebies and so did Arsenal. I've seen far worse refereeing decisions both in the league and in Europe, and so i'm not having a go at Webb whose a decent ref. Swipe Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 If he's the best in the league, we're in trouble. f***ing s*** house. That foul he didn't give for Kuyt on the edge of the box in the first half started the rot for him. Ridiculous. He's f***ing s***.
Falconhoof Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Silvestre should have been booked in the first half. Set the tone that Arsenal were as good as on their own turf, and they grew in confidence.
Swipe Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Silvestre should have been booked in the first half. Set the tone that Arsenal were as good as on their own turf, and they grew in confidence. Yep. And that "foul" on Kuyt should have been his second yellow. Thought he gave them every 50-50 tonight.
Tosh Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Arsenal watched Drogba's display last week. 2nd half they fell over very easily and bought the foul
Gomez Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Am I wrong or was their first goal offside? You are right, the rules say 'any part of the attacker further towards goal than the furthest part of the defender' not just the feet like Sky's graphics monkey thinks. Even Gray thought it was off.
Gomez Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 was it a pen right at the death? think there was a shout for handball but didnt see it properly and no replay probably nothing tho I was calling for everything at that point so don't really have a clue. Would have liked a replay though.
Rimbeux Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 He's decided Torres is a diver and gave him f*** all for being kicked, pushed nudged and hacked.
Gomez Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 He's decided Torres is a diver and gave him f*** all for being kicked, pushed nudged and hacked.A bit like in the derby then? They could have gang raped him that night and not even conceded an indirect free kick
allawee Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 At times his positions were dreadful and felt that he interfered with the flow of the ball and got in the way of players. I rate him, as much as I rated Graham Poll in the past!
Cunny Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 We were architects of our own downfall tonight but Webb got right on my t***!
Rederic77 Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I normally like Howard Webb, but I thought he had a bad game tonight - how he didn't book Silvestre for his blatant fouls on Torres I'll never know.
Spike Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 He didn't have the best support from the lino at the kop end who flagged for everything in their favour. Still, thems the breaks and it was a fantastic game to be at. Love our never say die attitude.
