can I ask which final came first?

does it have "balmy night" in the title?

It does, although Tiddlesley said that the Istanbul final was his personal favourite. Earle, Pleat, Beglin, Townsend and the other commentator clearly preferred the Mancs beating Bayern.

Earle has no idea what the hell he's talking about.

Pleat is a moron.

Beglin is bitter for some reason.

Townsend is just thick.

Was this just finals involving British teams? If it was, the Barcelona demolishment of Arsenal was better than the "balmy night".

United Bayern came was god awful for 88 minutes, then it got even worse from my point of view, but at least stuff happened.

Our game was non-stop

Have to feel sorry for them really. If they're not able to stand back and appreciate Istanbul for what it was then they're missing out on the depth of the drama and not really getting something fundamental about football, and life. The manc game showed how much certainty could be overturned in three short final minutes - The Mystery and The Miracle of Istanbul showed just how low it is possible to go, how to respond, and ultimately the heights of delerium that can be reached, and that the reward was ours "to keep" is feckin sheer feckin poetry. If Shakespeare had watched that game he'd have done a mad jester's jig while slapping his baldy old head in delight at it and been singing Tina Turner along with the rest of us and the goats at half one in the morning in the middle of the cold Turkish desert.

Any side can score two jammy late goals from set pieces. Very, very few sides could have come back from a 3-0 hammering to win the game on penalties against a much better outfit after suffering two injuries in the first half alone.

I dont think they were pointing to how good a game it was, or even how big an achievement it is to beat Bayern Munich. I think they were going for the 'dramatic inexplicable finish' angle and the fact that everything changed in the space of about 120 seconds, with no chance of recovery.

Beglin is bitter because he was never really a Red.

Chelsea fan isn't he?

After Stevens snapped his leg, they must off removed his medial prefrontal cortex. He's become an absolute bitter w4nker with something of a grudge against us, the cvnts as bitter as Paddy Crerand
