WTF - Vidic only gets 2 game ban ?!?!?

Forgive me, but a straight red is 3 games. WTF has the fact he has a red card to his name already got to do with it. Surely logic would dictate that he should get an extra game for being a naughty boy and not bloody rewarded !!!

 

The Football Association have confirmed Nemanja Vidic will sit out Manchester United's next two Barclays Premier League matches after his dismissal in Saturday's defeat to Liverpool.

 

The Serbia centre-back was sent off in the 4-1 humbling by their title rivals at Old Trafford for denying Liverpool captain Stephen Gerrard a goalscoring opportunity.

 

As it was Vidic's second red card of the season - the other also against Liverpool for two bookable offences in a 2-1 loss at Anfield in September - it means he misses two matches.

 

Along with this Saturday's trip to Fulham, Vidic is unavailable for the game at home to Aston Villa on April 5, one that could switch to April 4 if United play in the Champions League on April 7.

Its only 3 game ban for violent conduct.

A red card for professional foul is a one match ban but Vidic gets an extra game ban because he's been sent off previously this season.

Its a shame he misses the Villa game, pace frightens the life out of him. Hopefully Bellamy is fit for when City go there.

2 x yellow = 1 game ban

Goal scoring opportunity = 1 game ban

offensive or insulting or abusive language/gestures (even if two yellows) = 2 games

Violent Conduct, Serious Foul Play or spitting = 3 games
