I am getting dangerously close to thinking he is going to score when he takes them now

Bad news this, as when I get there, he'll start missing

He's a proper penno taker now. I was s***ting myself last night, not because I expected him to miss but because I was desperate for us to get the point we deserved. A definite change of mindset. IMO he's as good as anyone now.

Cue 2 missed pens against West Brom !!!!

I think he came out after the Fulham miss and said that he wouldn't be taking anymore penalties. Thank f*** he changed his mind on that one.

Is it just me (well I know it's not but anyone else on here) that thinks we should drop Gerrard when Torres gets back. We need Mascherano, Alonso has been in great form and the Keane/Torres partnership needs a chance. He's looked poor lately and did again last night, I think dropping him would make Keane play better and playing with Torres would also improve Keane. Out of the possibilities for Torres to replace; Alonso, Mascherano, Reira, Kuyt, Gerrard and Keane, I think Gerrard has been the worst performer so far this season. Playing him on the right is an option but I wouldn't want to go down the dropping Kuyt route around here.

Good peno though. ;)

If by DROP you mean rest then I would agree, he should be rested next week against Spurs. Gerrard and Alonso on Saturday in the middle if Torres is fit. We don't need Masch against West Brom.

I'd say its Mascherano. Apart from a fabulous display against Utd, I think he's been steady rather than spectacular. Giving him a rest against West Brom makes sense to me.
