Andy Mac Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 A couple of observations (ok four) 1. At the end of the game, Carra's celebrating towards the Anny and moves his head to the right and says "...... you t***s" 2. We worked really hard, utilised the wide areas and when we had the ball the player in possession had options ALLTHE TIME... that's how it should be. 3. Rafa went almost, I emphasise almost celebrated our second goal.. arms went half up.. then he did the mafia I wash my hands of this move with his hands.. hilarious 4. Vidic should have had a straight red.. dangerous play.
Maldini Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Rafa trying to cancel the substitution was funny as f*ck

Who plays RW now we have Reira - Gerrard or Babel ? I guess it has to be Gerrard as we can play 4231 then - still not sure Keane's being used correctly
Swipe Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Rafa trying to cancel the substitution was funny as f*ck Really annoyed me that the 4th official was ignoring him. Can't remember his name, but that ref really bugs me. He was the one who allowed Reading to kick lumps out of Torres last season, i think. Martin something??
Earl Hafler Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 One of the areas where we won the game was outwide. The Mancs only width in the team was the fullbacks and although they troubled us down the left on a few occasions, i think we broke well and utilised our extra width. Riera's first touch was excellent and it's such a difference if you can retain possession for longer and allow players to get into the box.We won the ball, we worked it wide, turned them round and then tried to play it into the area with Xabi and Masch following up from midfield. A performance of real potential

Andy Mac Posted September 13, 2008 Author Posted September 13, 2008 Point of order. When carra's celebrating I meant left towards the mancs

Dee Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Just back from the actual match! oh my god - I've never experienced a league game like it! I was so nervous beforehand - the goal didn't help matters but we battered them. Riera was fecking great, kuyt n keane played very well - did a lot of work, and HEY who would have thunk it! Babel scores winner against the mancs! a turning tide, a turning tide so made up
Earl Hafler Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Just told by a mate that Keys used the term " Grand Slam table " before the match. Is this the WWF ?
Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Just told by a mate that Keys used the term " Grand Slam table " before the match. Jamie Redknapp needs something to rest his 'Premier League basket' on.

Swipe Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Martin Atkinson? That's the fella. When Rafa was gesturing madly to cancel the substitution, Atkinson just ignored him and continued waving the electronic board. f***ing prick.
Clay Davis Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Wish Kuyts chance at the end there had fallen to Keane. If Aurelio and Arbeloa can play like that every week and Riera continues to impress then I'm very optimistic about a challenge this season.
kopindian Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Saw Rafa almost celebrating too.It was funny and he must be relieved as the monkey is off his back.

Dee Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 You sound positively orgasmic Dee How are you doing pal?Hi! orgasmic - hehehe it certainly felt like that - everyone walking away from the ground today had the after-orgasm sex glow! huge day - started out at 10.30 in the oakie, had a beer - joined the SoS march - that was huge, great energy there and then in to the game. I'll hand it to Babel today - played very well (apart from falling over the ball ) so I think I'll lay off him for a bit - altho my mockering is working well how's New York?
Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I have it recorded on Sky+ and I want to see Mascher creaming Rooney in the first half - strangely enough, Sky didnt show a replay
carrafan Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Had a right laugh at Sammy Lee's reaction to our second goal. Now thats bonkers.
Dee Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I have it recorded on Sky+ and I want to see Mascher creaming Rooney in the first half - strangely enough, Sky didnt show a replayI'd love to watch it again - missed loads midway thro the first half as something happened in our stand - the cops, doctors, stewards we're milling around and everyone standing up trying to get a gawk at what was going on.. brilliant

Thank you very much !!!
Magic8Ball Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Based on today?General observation do you think he was great today ? ( bear in mind Kuyt is more an old fashioned CF )
Rimbeux Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 General observation do you think he was great today ? ( bear in mind Kuyt is more an old fashioned CF ) I thought he was ok doing what he doesn't really do in leading the line. Neither him or Kuyt really do it but both did enough around the place to make life difficult. I'm just a bit confused where you're coming from on this, as Keane would describe himself as a link striker, he's no fox in the box, playing in the hole is what he does. Questions can definitely be asked over how well he has done this so far for us, where he is trying to play in relation to the the attacking players for example, but it is what he's done to make a career for himself.

A perfect day. Not bad here. Off to the Ryder Cup next weekend. Got the passes from the PGA for the European tent which should be a great laugh.
