Lee W Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I would take a 0-0 to be honest, the golden rule in Europe being a clean sheet in a 1st leg at home. 1-0 would be excellent, and would leave Grant no option but to go for it at their place. It'll be tight, I reckon, probably dull, if recent history is any indicator. 1 away goal to either side, could be enough....
psl Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I'd probably take any result that has a 0 by Chelsea's name.
Old red eyes Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 5-0, so my heart escapes pressure for the second leg. But i'd except a 1-0. Personally think we'll win 2-0.
Guest Snorky Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 50-0 will just about ensure I'll get through the second leg without worrying.
Lee W Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 Personally think we'll win 2-0. I will buy a bottle of Moet & Chandon for the M6 if that happens.

psl Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 What worries me is how many players Chelsea have who score goals. Drogba, Anelka, Lampard, Kalou, Cole, Ballack, Wright-Phillips, even Malouda. If one of them scores on Tuesday, things could get awkward. They've not managed it in the Champions League before though.
Guest Snorky Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 where you watching the 2nd leg don't know yet. any ideas ?

Don't forget we have the mighty Dirk Kuyt, who does have a handy knack of scoring in big games in Europe. Drogba is doubtful and if unfit, I can't see Anelka prospering on his own up front. Cole and Lampard are the worries for me - the cockney c***s always seem to score against us, recently.
Kuyt-fever Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Anything thats not them scoring two goals. I could live with 1-1 or 0-0 but if they score 2 we're f***ed.
Coyler Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Clean sheet would be great but I'd say it'll be 2-1 to us.
psl Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Clean sheet would be great but I'd say it'll be 2-1 to us. Just a slightly nervy second leg then?
Old red eyes Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Tomorrow. No beer. No grilled meat. No prunes. etc etc. I'll be s***ting myself enough come Tuesday.
Guest Beano's Dad Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Clean sheet would be great but I'd say it'll be 2-1 to us. I'd go along with that. With Torres getting the first goal. 40/1. I still think 2-1 would be a good result. If you gave me that now (with them playing Mancs at the weekend) I'd take it. We took 2-1 to Turin with an injury hit squad. We can do anything in this competition.
growler Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 ideal (realistic that is) would be 2-0, with an injury or sending off for anelka, cole or Terry (or all!) realistic, I think it will be a 3-1 or 1-0, can't make up my mind
DJS Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Crucial that we dont concede, especially given our woeful scoring record down there. 1-0 would be satisfactory. 2-0 would be superb.
