Guest Snorky Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 We all know why, what and how regarding Bennett and Mascherano. But with dismissing Mascherano for 'asking a question', he has now raised that bar. Let's use this thread to highlight the inconsistencies of this referee.
Guest Si Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 To achieve what? Seriously is it really worth dwelling on now, its not like its going to change anything. We have had good refs and bad refs, today we had a bad one.
Hassony Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Bennett booked luke young two weeks ago for politly asking him to look at the hand ball decision he gave against him in the draw with villa This is not just a bad ref, he is a f***ing scum of a human being!

We have had good refs and bad refs, today we had a bad one. To make me feel better for one. I want Bennett to caution every player that questions his decisions, I want every ref to caution every player that questions their decisions. But will it happen ? Will it F U C K. Bennett was pissed off that Hackett said he should have done more as a fourth official to help Riley out. But when was the last time a fourth official did this ? If Cole had of been sent off on Wednesday, Mascherano would not have been sent off today.
Guest Si Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Nothing will make me feel better about today until we win next week. Seeing Bennet dish out 20 yellows in his next 2 games wont make me feel a jot better, nor will compiling a dossier on the baffoon either. Have a few beers, watch the cricket, try to forget.

It was, there were loads of players 'talking to him', he singled Mascherano out. He could of cautioned a few more players for the same reason but decided not to as he had already made his point. Bennett gives me the impression that he an aloof, arrogant, egotistical t*** who was bullied at school and only ever has sex if he pays for it.

Sion Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 A friend of mine is a ref (quite high ranking but not PL) and has met quite a lot of the refs. Said Clattenburg and Webb are the nicest fellas but Bennett and Riley are misreable buggers. Hardly shocking is it.

Chili Palmer Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 were the same ones doing it over and over again throughout the half? were they already on a yellow? did they walk up to him to talk to him only to be told go away or youre off and yet just stand there saying whats happening? harsh sending off it may be, but mascherano helped in making the decision for bennett. No he didn't help himself but the bottom line is he got sent off for asking the c*** 'Whats Happening?' FACT.
yellow jumper Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 did they walk up to him to talk to him only to be told go away or youre off and yet just stand there saying whats happening? total nonsense. do you even watch football? if he was sent off for standing there saying "what's happening?" or repeatedly questioning the referee's decisions or anything like it's a complete joke. what law of the game has he contravened? it was response to a story in the media. beyond that it was the action of a man with a card in the place of a personality.
floyd the barber Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 think the players need to take a long hard look at themselves....referes do have an impossible job, and of course..only have themselves to blame for taking the position.. Still they get treated like utter s**** by the pros...
Mike Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 im intrigued to know why he booked torres for getting fouled.

Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 im intrigued to know why he booked torres for getting fouled.because he's a c***. Masch getting a red didn't surprise me, but booking Torred for legitimately having a beef about repeated fouls was obscene. And what about Carrick's foul on Torres in the 2nd half? Probably the worst of the game. Drop f***ing ball
Guest Kaizer Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 im intrigued to know why he booked torres for getting fouled. This is what I want to get the answer to as well. What a f***in joke of a decison.
MFletcher Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Bennett has put himself into an awkward position where anyone questioning his decisions more than twice throughout a match will need to be given a yellow card. If he'd simply answered Masch when he said "what's happening?" and not completely ignored him then he wouldn't have felt the need to give him a second yellow and completely end our chances in the game. He's a joke frankly. How he can be expected to maintain consistency over a number of games when he can't even do it over a fifteen minute period in one game? He and Styles should not be allowed to referee in the top flight again.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 he completely lost composure too. A ref can never do that, he went postal as did Masch

meepins Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 (edited) This is what I want to get the answer to as well. What a f***in joke of a decison. There's no mystery. They get favourable decisions from refs - a Kilimanjaro sized mountain of evidence is there to see. All the high profile teams get preferential treatment against the others but ours pale in comparison to what goes on with them. For example Mike 'Manc' Riley , is there a game that goes by where he doesn't give Utd a penalty? Edited March 24, 2008 by meepins
Cheesecake Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 patheically inconsistent throughout. Scholes kicks a player, nothing. Completely bent homer ref. Shouldnt be allowed ref at any profesional level, isnt consistent, and strikes me as a school teacher referee - sees himself as the authority figure reffing a game amongst what he sees as idiots and he knows best. A complete f***ing waste of space. One who cannot 'talk' to players. An alien in black who somehow ended up as a referee when a career pushing paper and correcting punctuation would be more suited. A complete f***ing w***** basically.
