jon_hall Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...89520-20290821/ f*** me we could have a home match in somewhere like f***ing Hong Kong.
_00_deathscar Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Liverpool's Hong Kong games are like home games anyway "The East is always RED"
Falconhoof Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Aside from the fact that it takes the piss out of the fans that have made football what it is in this country... If its televised and the money comes from tv rights...then whats the point of having a premier league game overseas ?

Falconhoof Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 raises the profile of the game and make even more TV money. It seems an extraordinary effort to go to, and risk of disenfranchising the core support, for what sounds like only a small increase in viewing figures.
Guest Kaizer Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 This has got to be up there with the worst ideas ever.
jon_hall Posted January 19, 2008 Author Posted January 19, 2008 The death of Football begins. Would my seasie have a free flight and room to go with a match. Will it f***.
Earl Hafler Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 This has got to be up there with the worst ideas ever. Just below Heskey at right back.
Guest Kaizer Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Just below Heskey at right back. Thats completely on the other side of the scale. But back on topic, with more foreign owners, in it for the money, coming in I can see this happen. How many clubs in the PL have got foreign owners now, is it closing in on 50%?
Gunga Din Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 if that s*** starts happening, i'll stop going.
Cam Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Yep, it'll be yet another nail in the coffin for me and football if that happens. Pointless (bar the money) and couldn't give a feck about the long-term, loyal, committed, cash-strapped fans that shell out week in week out.
Earl Hafler Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 I like the idea of the NHL in September following the lead taken by the NFL in October. We should take that into consideration
Paddy 66 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 (edited) what a s**** idea, it has to be kicked into touch. But probaly won't, given money grabbing s***s that run the game. Edited January 19, 2008 by Paddy 66
SkippyjonJones Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I like the idea of the NHL in September following the lead taken by the NFL in October. We should take that into consideration exactly. quality article.
fyds Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 if that s*** starts happening, i'll stop going. There wouldn't be anywhere to go to!
