floyd the barber Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 one of the few bright spots for me, he linked up with torres pretty good....and worked his ass of in good `ol kuyt fashion....the way he tracked back 2nd half to stop a spurs attacking was outstanding... I still believe we can do better and would still prefer kuyt as the main starter alongside torres, still voronin has shown his worth so far and is the perfect free signing and squad man.
Cooldude Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 He was f***IN' IMMENSE, best striker and best defender today. He was everywhere Shame that so many in the team can't follow his lead He has leapfrogged Kuyt imo, him and Torres look absolutely delightful playing together
_00_deathscar Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I agree - he was our best striker midfielder and defender out there today.
Smith Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 A phenonemal match from him. Showed a lot of character and passion.
So Cal Red Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 awesome performance put in by him today. hope he keeps it up!
Guest Kaizer Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Voronin should start most games, he is superb.
Nebraska Red Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 totally agree, he had a great game, just needs to be a bit more selfish in front of goal. his effort was immense and there are a few of our players who could learn something from him.

At first I thought he should have shot himself when played through by Torres and not laid it off to Gerrard, but looking at the replay I can see why he did it, he would have had to placed the ball in the far corner and Robinson had that well covered, but we have seen it before as well that he is unselfish, he could try his own chances a bit more often.
windy city red Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Thought he linked up with with Torres, held the ball up and brought others into play brilliantly.
Maldini Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 It's fascinating the way that on here from week to week players can go from "not being good enough" to being automatic first choice.
Guest Kaizer Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 It's fascinating the way that on here from week to week players can go from "not being good enough" to being automatic first choice. Who has said Voronin is not good enough?
San Diego Red Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Good workrate and didn't give up. Glad we picked him up.
Maldini Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Who has said Voronin is not good enough? Have a look back through the threads over the past couple of weeks. People's memories have gotten really short on here, one good game means people should always be in the team and one bad game means the player isn't good enough.
Nebraska Red Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I don't think anyone has ever said he is really poor , many have said he is not the super striker or partner for Torres. I think today has proved to more than a few that he is the best partner for Torres and that he is willing to bust his ass to play for the Reds. He showed more spirit and fight than anybody out there today.
billybunter Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 the same with torres - he gets called world class one week the next people are questioning whether he is the player we need.

Nebraska Red Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Good squad player but we should have better! we should have Messi and every other world class player, but in the real world... he's actually proving to be more than just a squad player at the moment.
Paul_LFC Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I have been a big fan of the Voronator since the start of the season and today he put in his best performance in a red shirt. How can Kuyt get in the team ahead of him? He does what Kuyt does and more (and better!)
Owen1978 Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 we should have Messi and every other world class player, but in the real world... he's actually proving to be more than just a squad player at the moment. Not asking for messi but there are better players out there! would love to see Diego
Dan Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 the same with torres - he gets called world class one week the next people are questioning whether he is the player we need. I'm sorry but i challenge you to find anyone whose said that since the season has kicked off.
floyd the barber Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 as ive said previously i still belive torres and kuyt should be the first choice partnership.....also havent we won every game in which both have started???....might be just the chelsea home game where we didnt get all points..not 100%...still i believe as a team, we work alot better with those two up top....as good as voronin played today.
Tetti Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Sell Crouch, Buy Berbatov and make him feel even more at home. I mean it And then buy Klose too. Becuase we should have in July.
lawrie Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 as ive said previously i still belive torres and kuyt should be the first choice partnership.....also havent we won every game in which both have started???....might be just the chelsea home game where we didnt get all points..not 100%...still i believe as a team, we work alot better with those two up top....as good as voronin played today. Agree with that, although Voronin is definately a better partner for Torres than Crouch is
billybunter Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I'm sorry but i challenge you to find anyone whose said that since the season has kicked off. it might be worth looking at the thread "torres" with "worried" as its subtitle. I know its s*** losing and part of us wants to be a child and moan but all it does it make you look like a t*** when things are great the following week. Internet forums arent much fun after a team loses as all these moaners come out and start crying. Obviously being overly optimistic isnt too wise either but at least learn how to stick with your opinions rather than changing them every day.
