Heard it through the grapevine that we may have already made a move for him.

and an a******, arrogant little sod in the bellamy mould,saw him play last week where he scored but did sod all else other than wind the the other team up and swan around like a big time charlie,didnt look anywhere near 2m worth,thought nugent looked better 2/3 yrs ago

Yeah just had a look, was sold by Sheff U in 2005 for 100,000 to Sc***horpe after a loan spell with Rushden.

Has done well like, but maybe he has found his level.

Worth seeing how does in the championship first

No, but occasionally we should take a chance and sign young talent from lower leagues at a reasonable price and take a chance on them.

 

How long did we 'take a look at' Dean Ashton and baulked at paying a million or so for him, yet now he's one of our alleged targets for £10M and all because he's had one decent season at West Ham! There's no point looking at Spurs enviously because they got Lennon and Huddlestone for F*** all if we're not prepared to take a chance is there?

 

Don't sign Sharp now because £2M is a lot for a player from league one and wait to see if he does it in the Championship, where we will still be taking a chance but paying many times more to do it???????

Never seen him play but he has a fantastic record this season. Sc***horpe have featured regularly on my bets this year so i have been watching their scores and Billy never seems to be off the score sheet. Yes i know its league one, but for £2m for a 21 year old it could be a risk worth taking.

Btw, What was the name of that young scottish lad that we wanted to sign? He was like 16 or something? Has there been any developments?
