From Willy Hills:

LIVERPOOL'S NEW HOME - PROBABLY THE BEST STADIUM IN THE WORLD?....William Hill are offering odds of 7/1 that Carlsberg will be the name sponsors of Liverpool new ground when it stages its first competitive match. However, Hills also believe they might well decide not to have a sponsor and offer 3/1 that it is called Anfield or New Anfield; They also offer 14/1 that it will be the Adidas Stadium; 50/1 The Franchise Stadium; 100/1 The Bill Shankly Stadium. 'You could say that Carlsberg would make it probably the best stadium in the world, but whether the shirt-sponsor could afford the cost might be another matter' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Nowt wrong with "Anfield" why change it?. If we have to "Anfield and Stanley Park". It reflects the change but can still just be called Anfield.

I firmly belive it won't have Anfield in it...

It will be......."The ?????? Stanley Park Stadium"

If it isn't called Anfield I'll be pissed.

We'll all call it Anfield anyway so what does it matter?

Parry said ages ago, if it is sponsored it will be The <sponsors name> Stadium/Park etc. He said if you call it Addidas Anfield, or whatever, people will just skip the sponsors name when they refer to it and the sponsors won't pay that much.

Nice to see you corrected their typo on Shankly.

If we are going global - more so, and things like deeper penetration in South America has been mentioned (don't even bother)

then surely the market is more Coca Cola than something like the Emirates - although I guess it depends on the weighting of exposure and demographics of viewers

but not Carlsberg - see, abroad they have decent beer and Carlsberg tastes like piss

so Coca Cola then - tastes okay, outstanding record of workers rights and nice font, - and red
