Worst Ref I have ever seen live ever.

Absolutely ridiculous.

And his linesmen were worse (for us) than him - seemed to strangely miss the Arsenal offsides though pretty much in the same way the ref missed the non-free kick that led to the goal, the non corner that led to the goal and also the blatently offside goal.

Forgetting the fact the linesman never flagged Garcia offside for our 1st eh ;)

Wasn't too bad to be honest, the defence was all over the place.

Garcia was quite rightly not given offside.

How do you work that one out then?

I'm not complaining he never like ;)

Because such decisions are made by humans without the aid of any electronic assistance - to the human eye, Garcia was not clearly offside. In such circumstances linesmen are instructed to give the benefit of the doubt to the attacking player (occassionally mistakenly referred to by pundits using some phrase including the word 'daylight').

There is no way the linesman could have been sure enough to flag him offside.

Unfortunately highly paid commentators on the tv seem blissfully unaware of this when it suits them.

Shame that didn't seem to apply to Bellamy.

Some players are so quick it can count against them.

One can only submit meekly when faced with such a compelling argument.

The Gray Defence wins again.

Because there wasn't clear daylight between Garcia and the Arsenal player.

Also, in those instances the benefit of the doubt is supposed to be given to the attacker.

Depends which angle you look at it. :P

Didn't look offside to me even on the replay. Really didn't get how they could be so sure. Both players were running in different directions, meaning they were leaning in dfferent directions. Garcia's head was offside, but his feet were on, so sure that means he is level? and thus onside.

I agree - Garcia was not offside, he never looked offside, and the replay showed he was not offside. Gray is a prick of the highest order. It reminded me of his outburst when Reina handballed at Bolton. Except he never went back.

Their offside goal looked offside, and was shown by the replay to have been offside.

The ref also let them get away with minor snide late tackles, shirt pulling, general obstruction until about the 70th minute, where he started giving us freekicks for all of these. During this period however, he saw fit to award the soft free kick that led to their goal.

This isn't to mention the corner that shouldn't have been, which was handled into the goal, which quite often would have been disallowed for the Dudek's collision.

Crap. He's a c***.

And his reaction ("Penalty, it's a penalty, definite penalty") to Sami's tackle made me want to kick his thick f*cking jock bluesh*te head in. C***.
